Small mod I made here that replaces four of the bagpipe songs with versions from this channel.

The songs that got replaced are "My Mome," "Cock O' The North" "Black Bear" and "Skye Boat Song." Their tempos and playing length have been modified to match up to the default songs so there's no real discrepancies between the separate versions. I figure this should be obvious, but this only changes what you (the file downloader) hear. Unless of course somebody else has also downloaded the file, in which case they'll hear the same versions you hear.

Installation

Just unpack the "Modules" folder into your Mount&Blade Warband folder, and merge them all together. Overwrite the previous ones.

Here's a comparison video, audio levels vary a bit, which isn't really the case when in-game

You'll probably want to download Audacity for starters.

Import your music into the program and cut it up to the length you want. Go to the program preferences and change the sample rate to 16 bit PCM, and the sample rate to 22050 hz. "Resample" the entire track to 22050 hz. Make sure you have two identical stereo and mono channels If it already has a different stereo channel, "convert stereo to mono" then convert mono to stereo with identical tracks.

Once all of that is done, go to the "sounds" folder of Napoleonic wars and locate the song you want to replace. It'll have a name like "myhome" (without quotes) then export the audcity project as a .OGG file with the same name. Though be sure to back up the old song in case you **** up.

Hi there - I did the original recordings for the bagpipes (they are very old) however due to a lack of proper recording material I hadn't been able to replace my old files.  However I am now going to be re-working these tunes to a higher standard that will be applicable for the mod.

as an actual piper, i have never really liked the recording in the game, and i often visit StrathendrickPiper's channel outside the game.

good upload and i can now finally play the pipes in game as they should sound

Is this Mod Down, none of the download links are working. My NW Regiment and I saw the Video and is a Highland Regiment and loved the new sounds. What happened to it?  :?:
