Well it does help parents keep together, even when they are going through a rough patch. So it may suck for the spouses, but at least it helps the kids, providing they have the decency to keep their fights private.

As most of you might know already, I am, or rather I was pregnant with my boyfriend and last week we were blessed enough to move into an apartment. When we were cleaning out the apartment I was going with a big armchair to the trashroom, but it did not fit into the elevator and so I had to take it down the stairs (we live on the third floor), I managed to get down the first staircase without a problem but when I was going down the second one I stumbled and fell forward. I hit my belly, which by then was really large, and the water broke and I started bleeding everywhere. I got rushed with an ambulance to the hospital and we had to do an emergency ceasarian, and little baby Elsa was born last week october 1, 1½ months too early. She survived for three days before she died of internal damages due to the fall and we will have the funeral next week. I'm not sure how I will ever feel good again.

Disagree, when parents are not happy together, it's hard NOT to notice. I have so many friends just wishing that their parents should divorce. It's always better to go different ways and be happy seperately then being unhappy together no matter how much Dr. Phil says that you should stick together.
