Hello there
After a rather long break, I'm back to the game.
Two updates ago, I exported my character and imported it yesterday in 0.903.
Several things has changed, and the new version looks excellent  :cool:
Here is my toon:
插入代码块:
 strength = 18
 agility = 17
 intelligence = 9
 charisma = 6
Now with the new version, should I boost agility or strength?
Or should I go for some intelligence or charisma?
(if the new skills require it?!)

插入代码块:
 trade = 0
 leadership = 2
 prisoner_management = 2
 reserved_skill_1 = 0
 reserved_skill_2 = 0
 reserved_skill_3 = 0
 reserved_skill_4 = 0
 reserved_skill_5 = 0
 engineer = 0
 first_aid = 0
 surgery = 3
 wound_treatment = 2
 inventory_management = 3
 spotting = 0
 pathfinding = 0
 tactics = 2
 tracking = 0
 trainer = 0
 reserved_skill_6 = 0
 reserved_skill_7 = 0
 reserved_skill_8 = 0
 reserved_skill_9 = 0
 reserved_skill_10 = 0
 horse_archery = 5
 riding = 5
 athletics = 0
 shield = 1
 weapon_master = 2
 reserved_skill_11 = 0
 reserved_skill_12 = 0
 reserved_skill_13 = 0
 reserved_skill_14 = 0
 reserved_skill_15 = 0
 power_draw = 6
 power_throw = 0
 power_strike = 6
 ironflesh = 2
 reserved_skill_16 = 0
 reserved_skill_17 = 0
 reserved_skill_18 = 0
 reserved_skill_19 = 0
 reserved_skill_20 = 0
What does "reversed_skill" means in the code? (it's a new thing isnt it?!)
Where should I invest my next point, for an all around character (1hd weapon+shield and good archer, mainly solo)

Thanks a lot for your help and advices :smile:

I cannot answer how reserved_skill (which is, reserved, as its name suggests) is used in the code as I do not code. But if you want a good archer, add strength for power draw. Since you're soloing, I'm assuming you'd want a horse archer, so you have to add agility for the horse archery skill too.

All-rounded characters are quite impossible, really... but since you can let heroes take care of your skills (without the small bonus), that's okay!

I'd suggest against going for int and cha since you really don't get that many levels.

Have fun!

Thanks a lot for your answer :smile:

are skills like engineer any good?
If I have engineer=0 I guess that I wont be able to build siege weapons...?!

You can build without any points in Engineer, but construction will take much longer. If you're only intending to make siege equipment (it is also used for fief improvements) this skill is pointless as the construction time is still quite short.

Reserved skills are there for future use by modders. They currently serve no use but sitting there, clogging up your character export file :razz:

Engineer is a party skill, so I suggest letting your NPC's work on that.
All in all, intelligence is only for reading books. I prefer the lessons of life  :smile:

Go for strength and agility. As the other guys already said, let you NPC's handle the party skills.

I'd get your int to 10 or 11 so you can read the books (one gives +1 int irrc as well), as books are free skill points basically.

Also cha is needed for leadership bonuses, but renown is easy to get and gives +1 size/25 renown. Just get a strong smaller sized army and take out caravans / lords if you don't want to spend the points on it.

Leadreships is some of the most usefull skils, a if you have 0 leadership, and 3.000 renown, it is more than sure you willn't be able to handle a 50 men party due to moreale  :wink:

Leadership also reduce wages by 8% per level, which really helps with top-end troops that earn a base wage of 28-30 denars.

Oh I like leadership myself, just saying there are other routes... and morale is easy, just kill anything that moves :grin: (and lots of different foods!)

That's thoughtful.

even whit +99 from batles and +99 from food, whit 150 men you still get -230 from party size +60 from base morale =28 very low (DESERTERS)

You need some people skills then, DarkAnd. People skills.

For soloing, Draksen, it's simple stuff. Strength and agility are your primary attributes. Intelligence comes next. Charisma is absolute last. You'll most likely be on horseback, and you've stated you use a one handed sword, shield, bow & arrows. You'll want power strike, power draw, riding, horse archery, and iron flesh, possibly even the shield skill. That's pretty much all you'd need to worry about. Later on, you might want a larger inventory space, and you'll want a few extra skill points every now and then, so a couple points in to intelligence helps out in the long run. Charisma is pointless for solo players. You aren't talking to anyone but shopkeepers anyways, and nobody is going to steal your money, so you don't have to worry about the high prices so much.

With 49 levels to improve, I think it's quite possible. Especially for a solo character. It would be simple to get strength and agility to 30 each, increase power strike, power draw, riding, horse archery, iron flesh, and even shield skills to 10 with a few remaining points into intelligence. I've done it before, and any remaining skill points can be put in to the healing skills which allows you to get back in to battle quicker if you take a few hits.

Sorry, I believe the morale is not calculated this way. It's all factors calculated except the extra factors row (I forgot what's it called), set to 0 if it's negative, and then you add the other factors row. So if you have +99 from battles, you would end with +99.

Indeed possible if you're not going for 30 in everything. :smile: I was just thinking that combining a horse archer build with, let's say, an intelligent female medic build, would not be possible. Plus, there're more than 49 levels to improve.

Except you end up with +99 in that situation :wink:.

If you go below 0 its set to 0 and its just basic addition besides that, with the battles at the bottom of the list. I know because I had -2000something from having nords in my party while at war with them, yet I had +99 morale because I had been fighting nord lords / caravans so my group was still very pleased :grin:
