[B] TEatRC Warband 1.134

Quick question : I am king of Imperial State ( did claimant quest, but after i took their last town, i said bye bye to the chancellor leech, and proclaimed myself kaiser), but the wages for the troops are the same as they were before!
Shouldnt I pay lower wages? Like when you are a merc/lord of X faction, you pay lower wages, but I aint paying lower wages!

No, 'cos you're supposed to.....

Three things.

1. I'm still getting yoyoing morale problems. Seems like the old problem from 1.002 or 1.003, where morale gain (by food or victory) is immediately offset by the "Recent events" dropping. Is no one else getting this?

2. Low priority, but somewhat prominent. The facecodes on a lot of the ladies seem like a random generator issue. Purely cosmetic, certainly, unless you get married. Then you'll find yourself spending a lot of time in field. The Laurians seems the most normal, they had the vanilla Nord faces. Vaegirs and Haelmar each have one (also blond Nord) lady. Everyone else is just whacked. Which leads to...

3. Hiring the Diplomacy staff while you're a vassal doesn't spawn them in your centers. Is this by design? I'm asking since they unlock very useful features, and in TEATRC you're not supposed to be king anyway. Also, they get paid whether or not they spawn, and they spawn fine if you rebel.

EDIT: And a fourth. Is it possible to have a normal "cheat mode" shop as well? With all the restarting I do, I would like to start with decent gear for my NPCs, but Lordly everything leaves very little room for improvement and thus no sense of accomplishment.

WHAT MASTERS ****ERS. I have no master and never had one. . So how can I obey a master if I never had one?

So please dont came with lame excuses. Sorry but I really hated the stupid answer.

Take a deep breath, man. While it was a bit glib, Venitius is just stating what the FAQ says. TEATRC has never supported player kingdoms. You want those features, feel free to request them, but currently you should just stick with a king/claimant.

The thing is sticked with a claimant but the wages were exactly the same as if I was a masterless lord, understand?

You stfu silverwolf.

As for Bermianese, that seems to be the correct demonym for Bermia (n).

I don't know about that, we call something from Russia Russian and not Russianese, but I digress.

I did have another issue though that I encountered the other day. I just joined up with the LT, ready to smite some Swadian fools. And then, all of a sudden, I get the message that the LT and HSE have made peace. What. the. hell. There needs to be some sort of protection against that, LT and HSE would never make peace, and in my TEATRC game in the original we were at war with the HSE and the Vaegirs. What gives!

China and Chinese?

But anyway, D'Sparil and the rest of the regulars here are firm supporters of obeying masters. It would disgrace D'Sparil's memory! I might allow for a slight diversion... but only if there's tons of pressure.

Not to mention that if EATRC had complicated factional rules and troops would desert from a multinational army or one that is at war with their home state, you'd be relying on Mercs, peasants and possibly Murond Military Aid.

His memory? I saw him around here just the other day, drunkenly rambling about some uppity slave or another.

Haven't really touched morale stuff.

All of those are from Native - I've copy-pasted the ladies from the first 3 factions to the 3 new factions. Have fun deciphering their names, since I couldn't be bothered to consult an authentic name-source or make up facecodes for them.

You're not supposed to be able to do that. Don't you need a minister, which only appears if you're independent?

Just take the next lowest tier items? The cheat shop is, after all, a cheat shop. Have a shopping spree at your local town if you need to.

In your game, enable cheat mode, and go to faction orders or something like that to redeclare war, or talk to Mondo under the cheat suggestion option. I'll probably make a war trigger every 24 hours or something.

Warband does have morale for each faction's soldier in the player's party. Which can lead to desertion.

Now thats a good reply. Ok then, so I gave vassalage to laurian kingdom now. Any bug reports non-related to claimant/king management, will be reported.

Hello backstrom , yesterday I downloaded the map fix in the first post of this thread . The one that you are posting is the same ?

Regards

Yes, it should be the same one. Check your map.txt creation date. It should be 17th of July for the latest one.

EDIT: Latest modified is what you should check.

I can't find the faction orders menu with cheats (the one under "reports" doesn't have an option for war) and Mondo's cheat menu doesn't give me the option to suggest war to him.

Wives can recruit staff. And I ask that you consider enabling the vassal-only options. Allows you to automate garrison recruiting, set patrols, set tax rates, etc.

Also, Derra has a point. I never even realised you get a 50% bonus to troop wages if you're part of a faction, but the bonus is missing if you're Rebels. WAI?

It's the other way around - units of a different kingdom has double upkeep. Should I change it so that it's 50%, and doubles only if the factions are at war?

Is it the Vienna siege problem? It's a 1.126 bug. All those new tall buildings.

And, personal opinion, what matters to me is that Claimant Rebels get that discount. But then again I don't use multinational forces, so others might think otherwise.

Exactly. Being part of Claimant rebels should get you that discount as if you were serving the original faction. BUT ofc maintaining the penalty to any foreign troops.

No, it's halfway underground....
