[B] Realistic Colors 1.22 Released + Taller Grass

Users who are viewing this thread

Hey, I want to download this, but I'm afraid that it will screw something up.

I make Multiplayer maps for the GK Siege Server, and it allows you the ability to paint textures on your map. If I make a map with your mod and textures, would people without the mod see something different other than the original Native textures?

No they will see whatever textures they have installed

Ditto down to a damn T.
Ezio, I'm starting to get to worry about you, bro.

But I will say this- I tottaly reccomend this mod to everybody who plays Warband. The enviroment just magically evolves into something beautiful. I am a faithful follower to this mod.

I saw the sneak peak of the next version and I must say I am pro-awesome-horizon, all the way. I can't use stuff like Graphical Enhancement.

When i use this mod my inventory colors change to less colorful.
cabbages, sausage, bred all colors are like washed out and the map too.
But i must admit that the taller grass looks amazing.
So what textures to use to max out the benefits of the mod and not to mess with the colors of food and staff?
And textures of my horses are messed up...some strange lines of colors appeared and now they are gone.

I second this.

I love the mod, the whole game changes for way better. The only thing i don't like is how things on storage also look washed out, like food, raw materials, etc.
I found that the file "raw_materials.dds" is the one i have to omit to keep old colors for materials and manufactured items like leatherwork, velvet, and the such.

What other files i have to omit for food and other things to keep old colors in storage windows?

EDIT:
Nevermind, found them on my own:
If you want food, arms, and armor in inventory windows to preserve old colors, omit the file: objects.dds
If you want raw materials and production items like velvet, leatherwork, etc, omit the file: raw_materials.dds

Keep in mind this affects ALL ocurrences of the subject items. i.e: cabbages found in village farms, arms and armor seen at town merchants.

Hope this helps those interested.

excuse me, is this absolutely amazing looking mod compatible with "Calradia in Darkness", which is also a texture mod?
does anyone know? i´d like to combine both in Brytenwalda.
thank you gentlemen.

hey Lucke, is this project above still in work?
or did you cancel a 1.23 version?
thanx for an answer in advance.

@ring 11

No it's for Single and Multiplayer

@orangeknite1

No need to put it in a mod, because it overwrites the main textures and every module uses them.

Technically you could just paste these files into your mod's "Textures" directory and get the same effect. Trust me..I hate having to make backups of the texture folder just to change one of them. :lol:
