i understood that he had stopped working on this untill warband was released, incase any of the code wasn't compatible.

well, i got it in a different way, but anyway, not going to speculate until Arch3r speaks up :smile:
 
Sorry for not answering for a while. I'm quite busy with the Warband beta (which is awesome) and school (exams). Warband will have LOTS of new features, a new physics engine and new graphics, and I would have to adapt my mod to all of that. Some features I'm planning to implent will probably already be in.

The rates will be like 3/6th infantry, 2/6th archers and 1/6th cavalry for most factions.
 
That's good, I don't like armies consisting entirely of cavalry or archers, it's unbalanced. How's the Swadian lore campaign going then?

Necro - I'm finally continuing work on this mod, now the Warband MS is there.

I will rewrite the OP soon and show some Warband screenshots.

EDIT: This mod will be for both SP and MP and will replace all OLD M&B textures (the models without normal maps and low resolution) or Re-UV and texture them.
Also I will still add the Kabiel Emirates, to have two desert factions, Sarranids won't be replaced.
 
Ah yes...I was going to send you a PM, asking if you'd continue this, or concentrate on the other Warband one (sorry, forgot the name).

I take it there wouldn't be the need for Kabiels now, with the Sarranid being present and all...? Or they'd simply replace them and you'd add one more faction, beside the Zraks?

In the same line of thoughts, I suppose I should ask if any changes/additions to the soundtrack would be necessary at this point, or planned anyway, just so I'd know if I should stop my other little projects for a bit and start digging for this one again.

I think I will keep the sound tracks, they were really good. But that will come later, I will do some other stuff first and make a multiplayer beta. Also I think having the Kabiels would still be cool, to have multiple desert factions. They would concentrate on lighter skirmish cavalry, while the Sarranids have heavy cavalry.
 
Nah, I didn't mean "changes" as in changing all of them. Just don't know what you have in mind for the final look, respectively sound, of the factions yet.

Do what you've set up as planned. My question was for a more cosmetic matter of course. No rush.

Meanwhile, since there's going to be one more arabic/oriental faction though, I suppose I'll look around for some more tracks about the Sarranid themes now, otherwise they'd remain the only faction without those. When you're ready with what you have to do, contact me and I'll present you with some suggestions.
