This might be a very unpopular opinion, but there's just something very odd about completing a quest only to have your reward automatically teleport into your back pocket. Now in certain circumstances I could understand a situation where returning to an NPC might not be required, such as if there's no real reward than getting a reputation boost (the Bandits would suddenly stop attacking so the people figure it was you) or if the the NPC at the other side of the map already has your reward. Most of the time though this isn't the case.
Now I understand the logic behind this, how it can feel a bit awkward going half way across the map to drop off some cattle and then having to go aalllll the way back to the same town to pick up your reward. In a less 'grounded' game that generally avoided this type of thing I could understand why this might be a feature but in a Mount & Blade game? To me at least it feels very out of place and not very immersive.
