Auto block

I've noticed after a few game that auto block is on. When i figured this out i turned it off quickly. I did this because i want a challenge, Now I see everyone has autoblock on and I'm starting to wonder will M@B dev be turning this off on multiplayer or keeping it on?

list the servers and Ill turn it off for you guys. They automatically get switched back to autoblock with every patch

Us Deathmatch one had autoblock. I don't know the common setting for that server, but I was surprised to find that out.

Well, if I personally hosted a server I would put Auto Block on. Only to help the laggers and newbies. Not like the pros can't use manual anyways.

It's a server side setting. On any given server, everyone has the same block setting imposed on them.

Some of them should be autoblock. Having all ten US or EU servers on manual would be redundant. Better to have a few newbie friendly servers with autoblock and no FF.

No worries, you seemed a bit confused so I figured I'd throw that one out there.

Also if you set your settings to control block direction by mouse movement you'll be manual blocking regardless of the setting.

I don't mind playing against autoblocking since it helps me improve by having fights last longer then 1 hit with new players. Also sometimes it is cool that the game knows what direction i'm swinging before i've made up my mind really, its neat to see a block come up like immediately in the correct direction, last night on DM a few times I think i almost realized better what direction i was swinging by looking at the guys block come up rather then being aware what way I had just moved the mouse and clicked.

are you sure these people are on auto?  a lot of the older players can block just as good (if not better) than auto anyway.  plus auto, if you ask me, is a disadvantage if the attacker knows what he is doing-  as a bit of clever feinting can screw with an auto-player

No, I know it was auto because when you block out of combat it does into stabbing defence
