Resolved Audio Crackling

I've been playing Mount & Blade since last year with no problems, but ever since I installed a mod on Steam I've been having audio issues. Everytime I start up the game the audio crackles. I'm not sure what I should do. I have a Windows 10 OS with Intel(R) HD Graphics; a pretty basic setup.

Open Documents\Mount&Blade Warband\rgl_config.txt
There's a line "use_winmm_audio = 1"
change it to "use_winmm_audio = 0" , save the file and try if it helped
If already is set to 0, then we have to try something else. You of course can try setting it to 1.

Hey. Sorry for bringing this one up again. But im still having this issue. I have tryed to do as suggested by Alene but when i start the game the sound is still there. When i go back to the rgl_config.txt the use_winmm_audio is set back to 1. Any idea why?
Really want to get back into viking conquest.

Im having this problem on vanilla, VC and overhaul mods like AWOIAF. So it seems to be a problem on Warband in general.
