Need More Info Attacking and Defending army treat Siege as a normal "field battle".

Earlier this evening I had my army in a Castle to defend against an incoming army. Both armies treated it as a normal battle. My infantry and archers were running into the walls inside the castle trying to get outside. My Cavalry was climbing the walls (a handful managed to yeet themselves off it to fight). The enemy infantry were running into my walls and gate. They were not trying to break it down. The outer gate was closed, but also open (literally looked like there were two sets of doors). Some of the enemy infantry and my infantry were glitched in-between the outer and inner gates. The enemy ranged infantry were literally 150 feet or so away from the wall running back and forth like a mosh-pit, occasionally stopping to shoot an arrow or two, then they were back at it. I cannot remember what castle it was exactly, but I hope I can get these pics to upload to give you some idea of the problem. Thank you for your consideration and your hard work so far!

Had the same situation. For me it happened when I joined an arym which was attempting to relieve the defenders of a castle.
 
Had exactly the same issue. Also fellow commanders were giving me random orders like "flank left, charge, fall back" without any reason - everyone was just running into the walls.
 
Interesting. Should probably note that I was the commander of the army so I wasn't experiencing the random command bug, but it makes sense if the AI was the commander and treating it like a regular battle.
 
I think actually the random commands during a normal battle should probably be marked as a separate bug anyways. The orders do not make sense usually and actually do not affect the battle in any way.
 
My two cents is that castle relief battles are supposed be like a normal battle, except that the relief army spawn behind the besiegers like the riders of Rohan during the battle of Helm's Deep. The game mistakenly spawn them inside the castle instead and causes this cluster****.

You may have a point there. Didn't think of that. I've been having the same problem when i've joined as relief for the defending side.
 
trying to join into actually going on siege battle causes it to break, at least if you are helping defenders, i had the same problem, spawning inside of castle and in addition to that enemy battle ram disappeared so no one could do anything except for me trying to kill 250 guys with bow and oil bombs XD
