As an English oral assignment I have to discuss a glorious moment in the history of Britain.
Everybody is doing clichés like Waterloo,Trafalgar,Battle of Britain,...
So now my question to the forums is: What do you think is/was the most glorious moment in British history.

I never figured how a lot of countries gang raping poor France could be glorious. 15vs2 doesn't look very fair.

Waterloo?! If it wasn't for the unexpected visitors(Prussians) ... there wouln't have been any victory to England, only a massive defeat!

Theres a lot of mileage in the Industrial revolution period, Britain pretty much invented Capitalism. I wouldn;t say that was glorious mind. What about say when we defeated France and won the Raj and lots of other stuff around the globe.

The empire was definitely our best time overall, but you could go for something like Agincourt.

Personally I'd go for the Armada - We were lucky as hell, but still pretty damn impressive.


Or Dresden, if you like failing hilariously.
