When I capture a city or a castle I can't even vote for myself everything goes to vassals. Is it any way around it without kicking vassals from the kingdom? It is kind of dumb.

The influence could work if they would make it properly. As it sits right now it just a dumbYes it makes no sense. Warband had a better system for that tbh. Talking with lords personally and supporting a lord or yourself made more sense instead of the influence based system.
After some point you can have up to thousands of influence points that you can just do whatever you want within the kingdom, I only had Marunath and a castle and had over 2,5k influence. I just gathered an army of 800 men and ran amok capturing stuff, destroying armies and I just raised coherence with one click. Food is the only problem and its easy to obtain from villages so I controlled an invincible army for months until I got bored. Influence is only important until you vote yourself to get a town and up to 3 clan lvl then you can basically do whatever you want - but cant keep towns even if youre a king apparently... I want the old system back tbh.The influence could work if they would make it properly. As it sits right now it just a dumb
lottery with some random number that called influence and has no effect on anything.
I have high influence but it seems like it makes no difference.
I guess I'm not sure what old system looked like, but I'm up for anything that works not like a lottery and not a random number that just growing for no reasonAfter some point you can have up to thousands of influence points that you can just do whatever you want within the kingdom, I only had Marunath and a castle and had over 2,5k influence. Old system was based on relationships with lords and your controversy within the kingdom. If you had low controversy and high relationship combined with honor you had a better chance king granting you a fief. And if you led an army and captured the said fief yourself that was also a plus to the calculation and if the fief was given to someone else even if you captured it, king offered you some money for your efforts and you could basically decline the money and could rebel against the king and form your own kingdom if you wanted. After rebelling the relations still remained important because it played a role on recruiting vassals.I guess I'm not sure what old system looked like, but I'm up for anything that works not like a lottery and not a random number that just growing for no reason

Doesn't look like it affects voting...It's not a random number and the reasons it goes up are pretty clearly shown...
It seems like it was pretty solid system. Thank you for explanation.Old system was based on relationships with lords and your controversy within the kingdom. Leading and gathering armies was similar as lords were appointed as marshalls regarding their status among the other lords of the realm, you had to complete quests or help the lords in battles or basically supporting them in the kingdom to raise your relationship with them then they would support you as well. Although you could ask other lords to follow you by personally talking them, there would only be 1 marshall who could gather the lords to go on a campaign. So you actually had to show effort to keep your honor and relations up so it was something valuable compared to the random numbers deciding if you can gather armies or not.
And getting fiefs for yourself as a king was easy, however keeping too many fiefs decreased your relations with your vassals.
It was very simple yet effective system, they could have just improved on it rather than introducing a whole new one. We'll see how they go with it through the EA.It seems like it was pretty solid system. Thank you for explanation.

No, I'm a ruler of my kingdom, that what bugs me. I captured half of the continent and only had an option to keep the city 2 or 3 times out of at least 15 times. Are you a mercenary, they cant get property. If you are a vassal, the trick I found is to capture a town and then give all your troops to a garrison and all your prisoners right after the battle and to go around to cities and buy the troops and donate them immediately. I find myself from not being on the list to being supported quite a bit for the castle/town.

I actually got to this point today with just a handful of vassals(maybe 5). I agree this needs to be changed, I do all the conquering and yet am not in the 3 who would get the reward even though i did the heavy lifting and am the king. Also, my vassals and I have about equal land at this point yet I am still not able to choose myself. No, I'm a ruler of my kingdom, that what bugs me.
