Artimenner Wants to Go To Geroia

Let's let him!  There are vast expanses of empty land in all directions, and this mysterious island.  Is it all being held secret for 1.00?  Maybe...  maybe not.  But in the meantime...

I have a man who wants to go to a non-existent place!  As the player, it is my sacred duty and obligation to fulfill the most arcane, retarded, or banal wish of the most repulsive, vile, or unimportant NPC ever created.  So I demand that Geroia exist, even if delivering Artimenner there is unambiguously detrimental to me - because that is where I, the player, must go.

I'd rather have Calradia done before they start adding more countries - maybe as a add-on in a patch post 1.00 of some sort, but right now the primary concern is to make a complete game that feels done for 1.00.

For all we know, in ancient Calradian, 'Went to Geroia' means 'Went to Zendar' means 'Went to Valhalla' (for the Nords, at least).  Artimennar is such an ******* I wouldn't mind cremating him

For the record, I still hold Xenogears to be the #1 game of all time - closely followed by XCOM, Jagged Alliance, Master of Magic, Dominions, Privateer, System Shock 1, and so forth...  but #1 nonetheless.  And Xenogears was full of unfinished plot threads.  But I attribute that to budgetary constraints, and we all know that Mount and Blade has an unlimited budget by virtue of
1) No declared completion date and
2) Hordes of addicts that willingly pump money into an unfinished product that crashes a lot.

So honestly, I'm torn - Xenogears was a masterpiece.  But I swear, it would have been even better with the plot-holes unfinished threads happily resolved at the end!  I want Artimenner to be seen happily off to Geroia, at any price, so he'll stop his asinine *****ing at Jeremus on a subject of which he knows absolutely nothing.  Actually, he reminds me of several people on this some forums I've visited.  He is immortal, I accept that.  I will never be able to kill him.  I just want him off the damn continent.

I'm fairly certian having a contract with an actual publisher means that point is no longer valid, even though the date may not be public.

Who knows what the contract says? Maybe they have a clause for "it's finished when it's done - there is our estimate." The idea that development will suddenly stop in three months is alarming.

Given that ingame (at least in previous versions) there was a near-complete naval system on the world map, it's possible they might add it in, especially if they're really working to the Q3 2008 schedule it's rumoured. I doubt it though, since it'd mean considerable changes to the world map

Still, it's a nice feature for modders

Um, so what is Geroia? Have nations that live there already been described or is it a one off mention?

Marnid came from Geroia, with the intention of going to Sargoth (in .808 and before, “Haralushia”). It's mentioned several more times in the game, but we don't know anything apart from the fact that it's got a Count.

An *******? Why?

We all know Jeremus is awesome beyond reproach.  And yet, Artimennar reproaches him constantly.  Hmmm, how should I put this?  Some people have their dialogue crafted to be 'nice', and some to be 'unsympathetic'.  Artimennar is just one of those people that rubs me the wrong way.  He's not as bad as Lezalit, but they're friends, and birds of a feather fly together.  Still, the fact that I hate him does not in any way reduce my player's obligation to get him to Geroia.

There was a naval system? As in, you could like, go around in ships and stuff?

Marnid came from Georia, hoping to make a hefty sum in Harlaushia, but he was attacked by Khergit raiders, and then his own caravan guards turned on him. Then he wastes his last 5 denars on a drink. (.80:cool:

And then... finding... padded cloth

*faint*

padded cloth? people still wear that? its so v.808 ...

Arty is another loser hanger-on... i swear to God i've filled the ranks with charity cases. no wonder they're left hanging around in bars - no one else would keep such whiners. i don't recruit him any more, just point and laugh at him, with a flip, "Still here, eh?" as i skip out on my tavern bill.

i'm gonna put this on 'speed quote' in response to future posts.

i'm gonna need it. maw

so ur gonna do a story like gta san andreas ? do some stuff in calradia, go to geroia, do some things there, come back finding out ur faction is in shambles and u take over ur original cities/castles whatever. they didn't copyright their storyline did they , a storyline would be pretty neat

maybe geroia will be added in the expanison pack hinted at on that swedish (i think) tv channel interview

Geroia is in the first role play, though I cannot remember if we started it or Armagan.
According to the role-play, Geroia is in the deep south, past the Khergit lands and is full of angry men in spiky armour who view death as a noble goal. They fight to die.

Course, I'm sure an army of blood raving madmen living in the same country as lovely Marnid is not what Armagan and Co are going for.

In the mod Caladaria at war

Geroia was a port opposite Zendar.

It was exactly like Zendar only no one was in it.
