Army Ranks

Hello - I would like to ask does anyone know any Prussian army ranks from say 18th century to 19th century or even british in the same era? I need it for a story I'm writing and I'd like it to sound good in that way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - even the types of weapons / cannons etc they used could be good.

I know, Wikipedia, free editing and so on. But it's a good way to start.
And it's in German, but the ranks should be recognizeable.

British- Colour Sergeants, Privates, Lieutenants etc.

Prussians- Ballerina's, Midgets and unskilled soccer players.
