Please allow us to shift around our subordinates when it comes to captain positions in an army (not just a single party) at the start of a battle. Presently it says that we will have command over the whole force regardless but the person leading a formation might be wildly inappropriate for the role. If they are mounted, they will remain mounted and make no effort to stay with a foot formation while an archer companion will dive right into the melee alongside his troops if he chooses to be infantry captain.
It is also bad because I generally treat my infantry like The Expendables, so when my wife elects to command the infantry, I get a bit concerned and would like some way to tell her to continue being a regular horse archer or command the cavalry. Or literally anything other than leading infantry with death enabled.
