What is the average armour in terms of protection?

the one directly inbetween the poor quality, such as tunics

and the good quality, like surcoats

The avererage armor? I guess Padded Leather or something like that. The good quality are Surcoats, Mail and Plate armours. And the crappiest are the tunics, shirts and other that kind of farmer stuff.

What kind of pointless thread is this?

I thought the opening post would of made that pretty clear, it's a post about armour.

and it's not 'pointless', im editing some soldiers so that is why i asked.

thanks for the uncalled for obviously attempting to be unpleasant for no reason comment

And thanks man, i thought it'd be that but i just wanted to be sure.

I think you might be looking for things like studded leather, nomad robes, and some of the lamellar armors. They have protection in the 30-40 range.

Yeah Occam is hitting the spot there. (Well not Lammelar)

Basically leather, mail, or other lightweight but durable material.

Plate and lammelar stuff ain't lightweight IIRC(Lammelar is easy to move in though)

Well sorry for being rude earlier, but couldn't you have checked what the average armor is yourself...? If you want armor discussion, fine, that's not "pointless" but the first post was just a question which is a bit... pointless.

You remember 90% of what you learn by teaching, and the forum is a place of discussing things in the game.

I suppose there is other means of checking, fair enough, but i got my answer within moments of posting.

I'm really sorry for snapping before, I just had a bad day.
