Armour and its effect? And more...

Now of course I know that armour lowers damage to the individual.

But the questions are:

How much does each point lower enemy attacks? Point per point? Also is it directional (well not really), meaning is foot protection only good against attacks that hit the legs and so on?

Bonus question:
Horses have an armour value, but how much HE do they have?

I believe it's point per point, and body part specific, i.e, a set of 25 armor full plate will reduce damage to the torso by 25 points. leg damage reduction is cumulative with the armor/legs and whatever boots you're wearing. So you could have +8 reduction from your armor as well as another 18 from your black greaves. head damage is reduced by your helmet.

Hmm, a calculation examlpe or rules from developer would be helpful.
it is definetely not just reduction, if it was so, river pirates coulndt give me any damage in my black armour, but they can, uuh they can as soon as I fall from horse in middle of group, some 20 or so people. slowly but sure they kik my in ass where I cannot block.

so its some percentage off or so I think, or more exactly a cobination of reduction and percentage.

Ahhh so it is between full point per point and half point per point?
That is nice. It was pretty close to what I expected, but like Kurbads I also saw river pirates hurt me, so I wondered at it.

So what about the horses?
