Armor/Weapons quality and appearance

as you all know that when you buy amor you have selections between different qualities of the armor. I thought that maybe for the poorer quality ones such as crude or cracked... for instance; the appearance of it would actually look worn, used, and damaged to show the actual differences between the types. I think it would make it look more interesting and realistic as people on the battlefield wouldn't always be fighting in shining brand new looking equipment..

I imagine people would be invited to generate some battle damaged armor textures, which might influence a decision by the devs to support this idea, if they haven't already considered doing so.
