Yeah, well, the first M&B forums were on an old 2400 baud BBS for a long time.

And even before that, forum members and developers mailed punch-cards to each other

1970 is the date you get if you have a datetime type long == 0 and convert it to a date time format in unix. Datetime is stored as seconds since 1970 (the computer epoch)

His join date is '0' is what you're seeing.
