I'm sure all of you are familiar with the npc in the Zandibar (mispelled I think sorry) tavern who offers to join you in exchange for some sort of cloth (kinda forget). Anyways, I've never been able to find the thing that he needs to join me. So what exactly is it and where can it be found? Please help.

As much as I hate to say it, Padded cloth is fairly common. Check out the smiths in nearby towns and one of them is bound to have it. Maybe you are just unlucky and none of them started out with it but, wait a couple days (go do missions, rest, whatever) and the merchant items will reset.

That was awefully nice of Rando to not tell the inquistor to seek the search button. I will do the same now and then because I believe in kindness and forgiveness. And only cloth armor will do, you could hand that bastard a full suit of platemail but that just won't be good enough. Go to Wercheg and get Borcha, he's a sturdy henchman. When you go there you need to visit the Duke or Baron whatever. Maybe he's a Musketeer.

And since armor quality doesn't matter here, to save some gold just get some Tattered Padded Cloth (or worse if it exists). It'll convert to normal Padded Cloth when he gets it.

I always thought he was in Rivacheg.

EDIT: Oh BTW, it's Zendar, and that the npc is called Marnid.

It's deja vu all over again.

Although it's called padded cloth, it's actually a yellowish suit, and not a new handkerchief or socks or pillow.

Look for the Yellowish Suit, young Caladrian.

Oh yes Rivacheg, oh well. He's dead Jim. And to think I spent such a beautiful summer in Rivacheg in spite of all the civil unrest.
