An archer on horseback does not have poor accuracy, he just has poor AI pathing which doesn't allow him to get in many shots.
Actually, you do have lowered accuracy when mounted.
As for having 3 mounted archers on a team...
Assuming that each type of unit (one handed sword, two handed sword, bow, two handed mounted, lance mounted, bow mounted) has the same chance of appearing, you have a one in 216 chance of the enemy team being composed entirely of mounted archers.
At least, that's if I did my math right. 6*6*6, right, because there are 6 types? It's like dice. 1 in 6 chance to roll a six, 1 in 36 chance to roll two sixes, 1 in 216 chance to roll three sixes.
So if it happened to you at least four times now, and let's say each arena fight lasts 5 minutes (probably a conservative estimate)... to see it happen four times, on average you've fought in the arena 864 times. At 5 minutes per fight, that's 4320 minutes. That's 72 hours. Three days straight, with no sleeping or eating, of gameplay.
Maybe you just hallucinated it in your sleep-deprived stupor?
