Dont you think....?

  :!: :!:

You should take for granted every big patch will have lotsa bugs, i've waited for 0.701 before patching, and it was worth it.
As for features, i think this version is great, now i just need to hear horns in the battlefield and i'll never leave the house.

Actually, I was having more trouble with .700 than with the one before that. I have not tried the ones after .700 because I don't want to start over agian just to get .003 difference.
Anyway, things just genarlly seem more unresponsive. Like, my guy used to jump every time I hit the space bar, now he only does it like once in every 3 times (same with the horse). Also, sometimes I will hold down the mouse button, but the guy will not hold back the weapon. So, I have actually had more trouble with the later versions.
Does the .703 fix this?

Stonkey,

Almost everyone had more problems with 0.700 than they did with 0.632. Armagan added a lot of new features and additions, as well as some major game engine changes with this version. Thats why it went from 0.6xx to 0.7xx. Now the small number increases are showing more bugs and small additions that he is doing. Hence, we are now at 0.703 and there are barely any new bug reports at all that are coming in.

The jumping situation that you described is there intentionally.

Holding down the mouse button to 'hold' a strike (and it not working) is a bug that noone has posted about, so I would feel that it is safe to say few people other than yourself have run into this problem.

i don't think things are getting worse, but i think every version fixes some things but breaks a bunch of others. it's taking 2 steps forward and 1 step back each time. it does seem to slow progress down somewhat

Come on...

What a bunch of nonsense. More features is always good and the bugs will be ironed out. There have been 4 updates in 2 weeks for ... sake. Soon there will be more mods on top of this content. I dont know what there is to complain about.

If you arent happy then go away for a few weeks and when you come back, everything will be smoother and some new mods will be out.

I diagree with you all, I hate new content and bug fixes twice a week piss me off :x

God damn competent indie developers, learn to abandon your fan base every now and then.

Ohhh...sarcasm, took me a minute. Well, the way i look at it, things usually get worse before they get better. No doubt in my mind .700 was worse than .632, but mainly because of the bugs. Now that .703 is out, that is no longer true, and we are looking at this games peak thus far IMO.

Yeah, I agree with DaLagga.

I think the rule is...

7.00 < 6.32,
but 7.01 > 7.00,
7.02 > 7.01,
7.03 > 7.02,
and at some point 7.0x will be > than 6.32.

In defense of viggo...

For game players, not modders or whatnot, at face value, not much has changed from 0.632 to 0.703. The most obvious changes are:

1. ability to reload some crossbows on horseback
2. addition of glove slot for armor
3. 1/10X tweak of the economic system
4. limits on upgrading troops
5. raising INT 2x gives 1 skill point instead of 1 for 1

All together, these represent fairly minor changes. What viggo (and admittedly, myself) may not realize are the changes that took place "under the hood" which will make the game better over the long term.

I can't speak for versions prior to 0.632, but I can say that overall the game IS improving. Once the modders get their tools, we'll get to reap some of the more major spoils associated with the most recent updates. Then, perhaps, we'll see at facevalue the improvements that were made.

You will need to go back and re-configure the game with this new version. All settings and options are returned to default when you install 0.703.

I was surprized with how easy the arena was in .703, I thought that something was terribly wrong... Then I found out that the settings were at 1/2 damage and poor AI
