Are there any games like the film A Knight's Tale

Defender of the crown, probably. At least there was Sherwood forest and tournaments with jousting every now and then. Your goal was to capture England one territory by time. You could go thiefing missions too and marry a lady. It was to old computers, but I think there is ported version.

edit.

Or could have been another one.

Robin Hood Defender of the Crown. Here's a video of the jousting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzlZDQS1x0k

Warning - while you were reading a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post. Damnit Theo! But as Theo said, it's a bit old by now. Played it on a PS2 back in the day.

Oh that's actually quite nice. I was remembering earlier versions for C=64 and Amiga etc, compared to them that one is actually high-tech

Yeah but the in the older game you're talking about the main character is Ivanhoe.
So it's not actually "Robin Hood game" per say.

The newer one had Robin Hood as main character because the main target audience most probably had never heard of Ivanhoe.

Yes I realized after posting that in old defender of the crown it was only that sherwood forest part which linked it to Robin Hood, so I might be wrong, that's why I added my edit.

I did however hit right with the game guess, since that newer version is clearly same game or taken at least heavily influences from old one and even name is mostly same, so even I didn't actually knew that 3D version existed, I did though about correct game "series" :P

If there is PC version of that "newer" one I think I would like to try it as well.

It's nearly identical and it's for PC, though last time I played it was about *seven years ago.
Should probably check it out again, the nes version of Defender was awesome.

All right thanks, I'm going to check it out. It is nice to see old classic in new* form :)

*yeah I'm bit late from that train since it was published already in 2003 hehe
