are tailworlds really leaving the game at this? WHERE ARE THE FEATURES

thus game is so menotinous when are we going to get something to break up how much of a grind this feels like theres nothing going on after you take over one region nothing new to explore nothing too gain from optimising settlements other than coin you cant do roleplay events in feasts or anything like that this game is missing so much Mount and blade content i dont understand why we dont just call it something new its just dumb to consider making a sequal to warband and then forgetting to add anything of intrest to the world give me something new give me a divergent quest give me a feast give mea chance to feel like my character does ****ing anything besides just pillaging and killing

This is the game.
Yeah, I played full game of Warband a while back and Bannerlord aside from a few features is pretty much a slightly more polished version of Warband. Great battle engine with a large world thats not too developed, think walking around a town that has nothing to interact with. Its not going to be much more than it is already, people just need to accept it. I dont think any major changes are coming. However (small hope), it'd be nice if they finished adding all the voice acting, not gonna hold my breath though. I play it alot so they must be doing something right. If they would get a stable version maybe mods could make this thing what people want it to be. However it seems like a lot of modders give up and abandon their mods because they get sick of having to update their mods when a patch comes out.

They've already sold the game, apparently most people who play it just do speedrun campaigns and dgaf about in-depth features. The game has been out of early access for two years and nothing has been added, I highly doubt we'll get any significant features added to the game. Those will all come from mods.

@Julio-Claudian - yes I agree, but or that to be possible he developers need to stop breaking the game code with every silly/stupid "update" they make.
Many of the good modders have had their fill and have moved on to more rewarding projects.

bro please, educate yourself before making statements.

I don't see Bannerlord Online being moving on because of the "code breaking" updates. In fact I've noticed a steady paste of progress alongside the game. And I don't agree bug, performance and additions (no matter how small they are) are silly/stupid updates. And this comes from someone in the IT industry. Stop daydreaming development is not some magic, its has it ups and downs. Never discourage a developer based on modder wants and needs! I bet the good mods will hop on and mod as soon as they have the time and the desire to do so and will need a lot more then few silly/stupid game code breaking updates to make them stop modding.

And no I'm not a fanboy, I'm a fellow gamer getting sick of hearing the minor but very vocal part of every community giving the worst possible advises and feedback constantly .

So diplomacy will never be a thing unless I buy a PC and do mods?
Awesome, that's really not a bug though its comedy. I think they are focused on game breaking bugs. A bug like that is not going to stop you from completing a quest or break the game. I mean Skyrim still has bugs like that.

When you leave out primary features that you promised would be in the game and leave it to modders to make those elements actually come to life (leaving the console players to rot) it becomes a bit annoying when your game crashes every few months to bug fixes that you have already adjusted to and are taking advantage of to make the gameplay more interesting. They dont tell us anything about progress and we have to keep assuming which is pretty messed up. Clearly people are still buying the game (or that was just a whole bunch of chatgpt nonsense with the giveaway) so why string the older generation of players along. Just tell us we will never get those features in the base game and console players can make the decision to just stay on the current platform or get a Pc to add life the developers should have had from the jump.

Until they state officially that the game support has ended, we don't know if they will keep their word or no. **** doesn't happen overnight. We don't know what they are up to and its not good to make statements without any knowledge, you know.

No one expects anything to happen overnight but after 4 years with nothing….like literally nothing but hot fixes ( which in some cases have improved the game and in others have kinda mucked it up) you can’t expect your consumer base to not look for some answers and then become irate when those answers never come especially when you asked for help with a bug and said bug is there after 4 years. We dont know anything because they clearly dont want us to know anything.

Well its also bad making false statements. If you deny that any of progress that have been made is not a progress, no one can answer your demands.
I don't want to defend anyone, I'm just stating facts:
1. Performance has improved x times.
2. A lot of scenes have been added
3. Bugs from the initial builds were fixed - some of them were truely game breaking.
4. Additions to the game and mechanics were made - even if they are lacking.

And i won't clarify on any of the points - if you were one of the early access guys, you'd know exactly the stuff i'm talking about.

I too, like you have my own vision of how this game should go forward, but I'm not the one who built it so my vision might be totally false.

You can definitely acknowledge both progress and lack of progress, heck you just did yourself with your 4th reason.
4. Additions to the game and mechanics were made - even if they are lacking
Like we both said there have been a lot of hotfixes for bugs across the game as a whole. On the same note I won’t claim to be a player from early access and once again I won’t deny there has been progress, in fact I most definitely have not suffered as much as you have in terms of “slogging it out” in the early days of the gameplay or the graphics.

But there has been since that time literally a diplomatic tab in the game that cannot be used. If that wasn’t apart of the vision why is it there still? Why can they not at least tell us what is the word? Has everything they promised you originally been delivered on?

True true, one of my biggest issues are also the many options that lead to nowhere and really feel like unfinished game.
To your question about the promise, I really wasn't that invested into Mount and blade before bannerlord, it lacked on fronts I like - graphics, physics and such. Bannerlord is what got me into Mount and Blade and i hope they only keep on improving it. I've been around for 4 years now, so I hope i'll be around for another 4 or for as long as the game is kicking and I'm able and enjoying playing it. As it was stated many times, what was promised was delivered, sadly its not exactly how we understood those promises  Misunderstandings happen.

A lot of users exaggerate on the forum these days when they say they did nothing for 4 years. I wasn't in the EA (**** pc) but I did follow it from time to time, and the game did actually get quite far in terms of getting fleshed out and delivering on most made promises.

You have to keep in mind that these "promises" were not a promise to create a monster of a game that looked completely alien to the EA Bannerlord as if the EA was merely a developer playground, they were mainly promises to finish the things that were already meant to be there by the time of the EA, such as the ability to carry your own banner and customise it. For a while, the game "Bannerlord" had literally no banners present in the game because the module for it was present and unfinished.

In the time since then they have added most features that were promised, including banners, aging/children/death mechanics, criminal empire activities (people ranted about this not being in the game for 3 years), sieging sabotage opportunities, and a few other minor features I'm probably forgetting. This was always going to be the game, but over the years some raised their expectations because of the time it was taking to release patches and it resulted in a lot of very jaded and frustrated users who feel like TW sold something they were never going to deliver.

I wanted to mention this because you seem to be under the impression that TW has made promises to raise the game into something much bigger than it is right now. But they never claimed or implied such a thing, after their setbacks leading to the 2018 Beta their ambitions for the game were narrowed down by miles because what they initially wanted was simply not feasible for them.

I think there is a thin line between "making promises" and "listening to players".

You are right, they probably didn't make tons of promises.

But they let the door wide open for suggestions, reminding us that "we encourage you to continue sharing your feedbacks and ideas with us".

Turns out countless ideas and feedbacks have been shared by the players, here on this forum, also on Steam, Reddit, Nexus, etc...

If they aren't aware of these demands, then their community managers suck and I'm the King of Eswatini.

There is also a pretty clear consensus amongst the players base on specific feedbacks/ideas (feasts, random events, boats, better endgame, more depth in general, etc), some being suggestions to improve already existing features (diplomacy, dynasty/family, crafting, etc). Not half of these suggestions have been listened and provided.

Even worse: the community doesn't know what's next for Bannerlord since there isn't any clear roadmap. We are kept in the dark, fed with pointless community tales, vague CM posts and of course the usual fixes updates only.

So I guess it's kind of dishonest to give the opportunity to share feedback/ideas, but barely deliver in years and then say "don't be mad, we didn't make you any promises".

The saddest part is that most of these suggestions/ideas have already been implemented into the game (some have even been perfected), thanks to modders work. If TW gave players the tools to create these ideas, I guess TW really should pick a couple of these mods for every new update, as they did with the weather mechanic.

What's the point to let people share suggestions/feedbacks/ideas and just reward them with fixes updates...that break mods that are actually proper suggestions/ideas ? Jesus...

Where lie (some) of our suggestions:

Adding(Finishing)of elements that are literally in the game but serve no function nor purpose would raise the game into something bigger and better. That is the point not to have them create something new but to finish what they started. Im not talking about feast, im talking about that diplomacy tab, I’m talking about the vakken and nord culture never coming into play, im talking about the “clan revenge” aspect that I dont even see anymore, im talking about us being able to send couriers the same way ai lords do to us. All the features you mentioned are things that should have been out in the game from jump. I feel like you glazed over that part.

Yes, it is dishonest. It's more than dishonest, it's a slap in the face of every player that has supported them with sincerity and enthusiasm.

But that's the point. If you're going to complain, complain about things that actually happened, if you turn everything into a hyperbole then even I can't take that seriously despite also being less than happy with how they've been handling things.

There is no line between making a promise and listening to players either. You either make a promise to incorporate feedback, or you don't. TW made promises to at least finish certain features and they've delivered on that. They also asked for feedback but can't make up their mind on wether they want to use it or not, and if they have, then they're not telling anyone.
