Are All Patches Saved Game Compatible.

just a quick question with all these patches going theres one issue players mentioned was the snowballing effect, will this balancing patch be fixed in my saved game I made prior to the update or is a new game needed for the balancing to take effect, thanks to whoever can answer this.

No patch was incompatible for me. But some changes have a greater effect in a new game.

For example: If an empire already owns half the map an they fix a bug to prevent lords going to the winning faction. That does not help your game anymore cuz the bugs already happend.

Any patch released is not required to be save compatible. However the devs try to make them all save compatible for players to continue playing their campaign. That being said, even if it's save compatible some of the features they add or bugs they fix may not be noticed until you start a new game.
