Every unit should look appealing to the eye. This archer or empire's recruit doesn't look nice. I understand that they need to look like a weak class without armor but pls give them some more love. They could use some better looking turban covering their faces for example. Just little stuff like that
No reason to pick this class ever. It lacks a flavor of some sort. Access to Light Shield maybe ?
Don't know why in captain mode all the bots in an archer squad have a good looking padded armor, but the captain (player) has this weird peasant robe which makes him look awkwardly chonky. Please fix that.
The reason to pick this class is the same as to why pick any light archer class over their heavy variant; more troops and thus more firepower.
Even for captain mode I would argue Veterans are just better overall, this class has no flavour to it. For Skirmish it's even more apparent.
Captain Mode Perspective: Overall a generally well balanced unit class, however they could use a few extra units so as to differentiate themselves more from Veteran's who have only 4 fewer units. If the ranged Ai worked correctly, there would be really no need to change this unit much other than maybe a movement speed increase and giving them +2-4 extra units.
