Appointing a chamberlain

I've searched but couldnt find anything, so just tell me if this is explained somewhere else.

Anyway, I'm using the latest version of Diplomacy and have conquered Shariz. I appointed a nobleman as chamberlain for a week as I looked for a companion to do it. Then, when I found one, I dismissed the chamberlain so I could appoint my companion but can't find where to appoint a new chamber lain. Anyone got any tips or am I screwed?

pretty much I think your screwed till you get married. Then you can ask your wife to appoint a staff member for you and presto! new chamberlain!

you cant apoint a companion as chamberlain only as a minister
