Need More Info Application crashed because of a fatal error occured while checking sound bank files

Summary: Hello, after I removed some mods and reinstalled the game earlier I have been getting the same error message every time. I have verified files 3 times. Once with mods, once without and once after another reinstall without mods. The only thing I can think could possibly be the cause of all of this is that I deleted Soundmod earlier today and have only been having this issue since. I have no idea if this is related. I am brand new to the game so if there is anything I can do someone may need to explain it more than usual. As i can't upload a screenshot of the message I'll repeat what it says exactly below.

Application crashed because a fatal error occurred while checking sound bank files. CRT Check failed!

Re-validating game files may solve this issue.

If you crash with a sound bank file problem, you can try the workaround below to fix it:

• Open: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Sounds\PC” folder.
• The error message should have the name of a file with the file extension “.bank”.
• Locate and delete the file in the folder.
• Verify the game files.

Marda this is a recurring bug, often due to a sudden ctd of the game. I've noticed that verifying the game files or using a backup doesn't always resolve the problem, but it does after multiple tries. Isn't there a way to protect those files?

I am getting the same problem. Re-installed the entire game and the problem persisted. Deleted all modules and reinstalled them and it worked. 1 day after this same shizzle. This time re-installing everything didnt work. tried to reinstall 3 times to no avail. Giving up on this soon. Tried to delete all the *.bank files 5 times and no change, what file does it crc against , maybe i need to delete that file.
