Hey guys

Here's the dealio.  I've been becoming more and more eager to scene castles, towns, camps, or anything in between, for a good long while now.  And recently, my own scholastic studies have enjoyably taken me down the path of studying castle design and development, which has been making me even more eager to start making some.  The problem is, at the moment...there is no real purpose for me to do so.

So I figured I'd hire myself out to anyone looking to do some scening for whatever mod they may be making.  I say all this with the caveat that I will need some training of sorts--in the way of actually getting any scenes I create to you, as I, at the moment, have no real idea how to take a scene I've created at hand it over to someone.  The upside for you guys in all this, is that I've got quite a decent amount of time on my hands, and so will be able to fulfill any scene-orders fairly rapidly, in addition to having a good amount of experience working with the sceneing tools and going through the creation process.

So if anyone happens to be in need of a someone such as myself, by all means let me know.

You can help us

Well I'm actually using my new laptop that I bought to study abroad, and so I don't have anything that I've done before on here.  If you want though, I can whip up a castle or something in a day or two and let you guys check it out.  Betaknight, if you want me to do something Roman-esque as well, let me know.

NP; just edit something up and make it as pretty as you can and show some screens of it with and without the AI mesh on.

That's really the crucial part, tbh; it's not terribly hard to make a level on this engine using prebuilt content, but it's sometimes a lot of work to get AI meshes done and ensure either a reasonable pathing flow for castles or open-field encounters.  Doesn't matter as much for city and town scenes, where you can get away with being really lazy, but it won't fly for siege scenes, where the AI needs to go wherever players can or it breaks the illusion.

Alright Xeno, sounds good.

Also, I forgot to mention that it would be most helpful if you guys let me know if your interests are more multiplayer or single player oriented, as I'm sure you know that drastically affects the needs of a specific scene. (Xenoargh, I'm assuming you're thinking singleplayer from what you've told me, but if otherwise let me know.)

Yeah, this is mainly for SP.

With the new stuff I have in the next release (shader things for flora, better water, lots of other shader improvements that generally make Warband look better) it'd be nice to have at least one new scene of the level of detail of the Siege of Ichamur (town_17).

Blood and Steel has a level-editor system built in (just click the Tutorial and it's obvious from there).  Might want to look at the scenes for a bit before saying you're interested; I'd probably need 2-3 scenes done over a week, but at a really high level of polish.  For easier stuff, one thing I can always use for my mod is better rework of the existing castle siege scenes, most of which were somewhat-haphazardly polished and need more work.

Ha, sorry to disappoint, but I haven't the slightest idea how to model.  I'm a scener...born and bred.

...well not really...but still, I just scene.
