I won't pretend I have a fancy modern system, but my ole steed has served me well:
AMD FX-8350 @ 4GHz
2 Radeon HD 7870s in Crossfire, 2GB DDR5 each and the cards run at a Ghz
16 GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 RAM @ 1600
480 GB SATA3 Seagate SSD
It's stood up for 7 years, and I know it's ancient, but it still plays most things pretty well like Total War games, Rising Sun, Paradox titles, Subnautica, etc. It has the latest drivers and all that. I figured I'd have a go on Bannerlord, and get the discount while I could. Worst case, I'd play on very low, and just try it out, maybe play it later more often once I finally build a new system. My experience has been that at first the game had me playing on high, and it was alright, a little slow, but not unbearably. I figured it was acceptable for my hardware age, but lag in battles became bad, so I went to medium. That was ok until I hit big battles, like 300-500 men. Then I had to go to low/very low for those to move. All of a sudden 1.0.4 came along and I was practically lag free, even in the larger fights, and this was on medium. Things were very smooth and I was enjoying the game. However 1.0.5 appears to have reversed that for me, or even made it worse. Now I'm chugging and stuttering on very low. TLDR: anyone else feel like 1.0.5 did more harm than good?
