Anybody A boxing fan?

Ive been a huge fan of boxing for a hell of a long time used to be a very keen boxer untill i was taken down with lead poisoning. but that's another story for another time.
just wondering what you guys think of some of the big British boxers of the now.

ha ha. well it's funny in some senses then it stops being funny at the part where i nearly die. 

long story short, i was at a school fair an there was a stall that did hair coloring with that coloured hairspray crap ya can get, but truth behold it wasn't cheap hairspray crap somebody used lead based car paint on my head. now i laugh my ass off at it but then again it did nearly kill me lol

actually stopped me becoming and amateur boxer..but what the hey. life goes on

I went through (about) a year long phase in which I couldn't get enough of it (boxing, that is). That phase has long since passed, as I much prefer MMA to boxing.

I also prefer MMA to boxing. It's so much more interesting. No two fights are the same, and people rarely win or lose by decision. (i.e. they mostly get knocked out or forced into a submission.)

I've been a huge fan of Joe Calzaghe all my life. and Ricky hatton is just a machine.
we have so much boxing talent in this country but they just don't seem to have strong enough chins!

It is mixed martial arts it is Jeet Kun Do Bruce Lee's dream come true where you can win a fight by caving a man's skull in or by submission style wrestling like with jui jitsu or judo, I watch that stuff a lot. I think Brock Lesnar is a monster and Frank Mir might be too scared to fight him again.

I like that too but they just don't make them like Rowdy Roddy Piper and The Macho Man Randy Savage anymore. I like Kurt Angle he is my Olympic hero and Samoa Joe is a riot.

ugh, i hate show wrestling its full of grown men touching an groping each other. that is called rape in some countries!

They aren't exactly groping each other, just because they are dressed in their underwear and pretending to fight doesn't mean they can't beat the hell out of you. They hang out in hotel bars with rodeo clowns and outlaw bikers. Just to get back on topic I suppose it is too much to ask Roy Jones Jr. to retire, of course it is he won't stop boxing even if they have to push him into the ring from his wheelchair. That's what I hate about boxing, the man held every title but he won't stop until every piece of goo in his skull is dead.

most complete meat heads like the steroid taking show wrestlers move very slowly and you can't train your nuts to take blows...unless your a crazy Japanese guy who has trained to block out pain..(saw it on TV once) anywho back onto the topic at hand.

yes Roy Jones will never stop. he had his face bashed to Joe and most probably every other boxer that he will come against.
one of Roy Jones comments after the fight with Joe was;
"his patter punches were a hell of a lot harder than i thought" no **** Roy there is a reason he is  46 - 0 - 0
