Any option to turn off party financial support?

I startet creating a second party for my clan and noticed that I suddenly have to pay "financial support" in addition to the new party´s wages. I figured "heh, gonna go away after a few days, probably just to help them out". Lo and behold, after draining ~1000-1600 denars from me every day for about two weeks (in addition to my own wages AND the second party wages) my reserves arrived at 0 (I did not own a settlement at the time, so my income was limited) the drain was still going on. I dont have any money but my nice guy still wants to give financial support while I struggle to pay my own wages now, cool.

I disbanded the second party soon after to get back on my feet since I didnt find any option to turn off the limitless "support". Is there an option? Did I oversee it?

After owning a town my reserves are now 100k+ and I dont have to care about it anymore, but I dont think that you should be required to own a settlement to get a second party up and running.

Just make caravans and buy workshops, i can easily handle a good 5-6 parties without any financial issues at all without a fief.

It will only be positive if they are fighting with the party and getting loot. Start a party once in a war and you can call your companion to an army for free. You can also let them loose in the middle of a bunch of bandits and they will hunt them down and sell the prisoners.

Just make caravans and buy workshops, i can easily handle a good 5-6 parties without any financial issues at all without a fief.

How much are your workshops making? I have a maximum workshop limit of 3 and they make only 100 a day each. I dont know how many caravans you need to make up for the remaining 7k per day that you need to support 5-6 parties but I certainly have not enough companions for that many carvans, since I also need them to lead the parties.

My party was not very self-sufficient then it seems. They didnt do anything. If I have to wait for my faction to be in a war each time I want a party or have to manually set them loose somewhere, it seems like a lot of needless clan management. Time I would rather focus on myself.
I already pay their wages, who needs another 150k and onwards to keep a party of 30-50 men together...Even my own party did not cost that much during the whole game.

They typically hang out around the closest town that you form their party near. If there is nothing to do nearby, no quests or bandits, they will just chill in town until there is something to do. So in peace times when lord have nothing to do but kill bandits it can be rough. At some point your other ventures will cover their costs during peace and you wont have to worry about it. I created 2 caravans before i created parties so i never had a financial issue.

Eh my kids are fine, but I dont want to pay for my kids' friends schooling, food, clothes or whatever drugs they need the money for :p

With the daily income the game feels like either having way too much money for the rest of my life or struggling to make moneys due.
