Any massive mod like Brytenwalda or 1257?

My favorite was 1257 but it got ruined by disgustingly bugged battles, sieges and very scripted AI. I'd play it if I got othr version but guy who took over was douchey and ruined the mod. Can't find any download to othr who was cool and made mod amazing, with working battles/sieges and map AI.

Brytenwalda is cool for all the features. But map is too crowded and not a big fan of timeline.

Looking more for a total war style map that is medieval or roman (or around that period) with tons of factions like 1257. Or othr version of it that I can't find any mod like that though? With custom items and everything? No vanilla stuff at all BTW.

Also tried using svn subversion already for good AI not broken 1257, but they deleted othr version even though he created the mod to begin with. Doesn't let me download like it used to. And a lot ask for his cause AI worked and wasn't so broken as a mod lol.

Sadly haven't found an alternative. Most mods tend to be small with only few factions or/and use all vanilla items. Which is fine, I just really want something epic like 1257 used to be.

Game of thrones is a great one for fantasy. Not historical though.

Didn't like sod, map felt small to me and wasn't a big fan even if not.

Is roman submod all of Europe, total war style? If so that is epic.

Mostly looking for a large historical mod with total war style map like 1257. So I'm pretty much looking for a mod like that but not broken. Or if someone has othr version of it.

I'm pretty sure the Roman one is just Roman Britain.
Frankly, I enjoy the new 1257AD version, despite its flaws. But I never got into the old version, so maybe I just haven't had something better to make it feel worse.

Well, in othr...archery worked in siege. AI didn't stand in one place for hours in battle till you attack. Map was bigger (not really a plus/minus) ...characters looked better and more realistic.

Map AI was better for all factions. Apparent with welsh and navarrae as they actually acted like big factions.

AI wasn't scripted. Notice AI has exact same pathing in battles? Do tournaments. AI moves same exact path and does same exact thing every time. Goes with battles too but a bit less noticeable.  Othr version did not do this.

And othr had more camp mod options to customize and fix stuff.

Oh better formations too and WAY more formation options. Not that lame eternal unmoving square the whole battle. A lot more variety.

Music was epic too BTW. Notice very little of it in new version.

I got SVN to work, getting Othr version. We'll see later (or tomorrow) how it works.

Is it okay to upload it for others or can I only put it on my dropbox for private use and real life friends? A lot of people keep asking for it, and it isn't available easily anywhere. Its pretty much an alternate to new 1257 but older, but one that is...well...in my opinion...a lot better. Granted, it has its bugs and problems...I'm not saying its perfect. But overall, a lot more features and the AI works in battles.
