Any fix for dumb AI while a Rebel <faction>?

Users who are viewing this thread

I have sided with one of the rebel faction king wannabees and have converted several Lords over. I want to try to siege a castle with them. I tell them to follow me (since I can not find any menu to use the marshall ability to summon all troops) and go to the castle. They follow fairly well but once I 'wait until tomorrow' they all wander off at high speed when morning hits. Is this actually working as intended? Because I think I'm done with the game if so, how broken.

Thanks for reading.

P.S. I tried searching, but since the search engine is limited I kept finding either 0 or 100's of posts.

I've experienced this as well. It is REALLY annoying.

I believe a better way is to start a campaign as the marshal. The vassals of your kingdom will then follow you until they run low on troops.

Lords that are following you because you asked nicely will often decide their own business is more important, or they'll run off to chase a caravan or somesuch. They'll probably return to you eventually, but by then it'll be too late. As marshal, they will still occasionally do this, but they're far more likely to stay with you and will usually only leave once their army has been more or less destroyed (but they'll return with more troops if the campaign hasn't ended by then).

marshal menu: talk to a companion

The only option I see is 'I want to tell the vassals to call off the campaign' Not exactly what I was wanting to do.

Am going to post a suggestion to fix this, though I have my doubts it will be.
