Annoying sound from speakers

While playing M&B, i get this loud noise like "BRRRRRRR" most of the time. This is a new computer, and my old one didn't keep any noise. This is the only game that keeps the infernal noise, and i'd like to play it, but that noise is just too awful. When using earphones it was still keeping that noise, and shutting off the speakers stopped it. I'd use my earphones but they make my ears feel like they've been pounded for 20 minutes.

I believe this happens when there are too many men on a single map, and I think its one of the inherent issues in Mount and Blade, because it doesn't have enough audio channels or the like. I would suggest for larger battles to go to options and just turn down the sound volume, because you can't change it i think... Hope that helps

It helped to change the battlesizer to a larger one. The sound is still there but you can barely hear it, thanks. But i still need a better solution to remove it completely.

Nevermind that, it still keeps the horrible noise. I wish i could enjoy this game. I tried to set the sound off, but it didn't change anything. I still heard the unholy sound.

Please, someone help. It gives me a headache and i can't play for more than 5 minutes. As i said, the sound is coming from the speakers, not the game. On every other game it's fine, but mount and blade... sniff, WHY GOD WHY?!

Try deactivating sound variation.

I turned off sound variation, no change. I tried to update my sound card drivers, but it said they were up to date. I'll try reinstalling and see if that works..

I can't live with it, it's horrible. The noise varies when i change my angle, if i look in the sky it isn't that loud, and sometimes it's even louder. But when i go to one of the text screens (city menu, party menu where you read a book etc) there's no BRRR sound. This is the only game where the infernal sound is present.
