[ANNOYANCE]Name Stealing

I was just playing mount warbands a few minutes ago and all of a sudden it lagged up and crashed as it has done to me before. This is not the subject of this post though. It appeared to stay up for  while so I thought it might be only me but when I tried to rejoin it said someone had my name. Now the server is full and I can no longer play.

This is very very annoying because it is currently the only server up so I can no longer play.  I also was in the middle of a game!
This is the second time I've had to change my name so I'm not very into it. Can there be a system in place to prevent people from taking already used names? This would be very helpful.

Yeah I have been in WB since .500 but not too long ago I couldn't get into the only server I wanted to play on cause some new arrival took my name.

Yeah, but it I am thinking it is realted to a player with my same name getting on the server.

Likely what's happening is the server still sees you as being there and hasn't timed you out yet, so it says someone has your name when in reality it's just the 'you' that was there before you crashed. 

Happens all the time in the Half-Life and Co. world.

Only reason you can't rejoin is because your character's profile hasn't left the server yet, due to your crash. Just wait a couple minutes and it'll go away.

Nope, they made it so a name cant be duplicated because if 2 people had the same name, lets Say Joe-Bob. Joe-Bob1 starts being very rude, slanderous, racial remarks, being a general ass-hat, etc. Joe-Bob2 (with the exact same name, 1 and 2 is just to distinguish here) is acting normal. So, to kick/ban Joe-Bob1, you open up the window to start a poll. Now, you see 2 Joe-Bobs. How do you distinguish between the 2? Turns out you cant. So, to avoid that issue devs made it so no two people can have the same name.

When you get this bug, just connect to another server then disconnect, then try rejoining the server you were on.

Yes.

All you have to do is go in and add or take away a letter from your name and rejoin.

I have a secondary profile setup just in case some smartass tries to impersonate me. If I see another seawied in the server, he'll be banned before he finds out I'm on to him
