So it started happening to me since last patch (or didn't notice it that much earlier) but it often happens that on my screen guy goes from first part of swing animation to last in a milisecond all of sudden after swinging normally earlier on. Anyone experiencing this too or any solutions?

BTW. It's not ping spike. My ping is fine.

Plenty of times before the new patch.

But that was cause my FPS was 2-7 in rate.... then I change to Direct X7 and this never happened to me again.

Well, I've above 100 all the time... but then again maybe I'll turn v-sync on. That's an idea.

If you very quickly swing and cancel it is not uncommon for the swing to still go off but without a backswing.

The swing isn't faster, it takes the same time to go off, but you dont see a backswing animation - At least not on your own character doing it, I have been told by others that they saw no backswing when I tried on them. Might be that?

Haven't noticed it much recently but I havent been dueling much since the changes.

I've noticed this a lot too with the 1.12x patches, especially during feints. I think it's a netcode issue, because if I host a game myself with only myself in it, everything is fine, but the second I jump on a server, regardless of the number of people, I get that and other types of weird stutters and phenomena.

i have noticed that too, I always assumed it looks like the proper animation on the other players screen

Seen it too several times. The good part that it happens only with my warrior. Never saw that when somebody hits me.

I believe it does, however, it throws me off when I'm trying to judge timing and distance. It's also the cause of many of those "I swear I struck first" moments. Also, it happens when I block sometimes. It will delay the block animation or show the wrong block for a second and then switch at an accelerated speed. It makes it hard to play sometimes.

I think it's a safe assumption to say that the server is seeing everything correctly, but the clients are getting a misrepresentation of what's going on.

It's a pretty common problem both before and after the 1.123+ patches. Seems to be happening to more people after 1.123 though.

Here's a relevant ticket on the bugtracker http://bugs.taleworlds.com/edit_bug.aspx?id=2803

We won't know if Daegoth's change does anything for it till next patch so keep your fingers crossed
