animation change for close thrust

I find it irritating when my adversary gets too close, i just want to get him a little push.

So:

in the face with the sword guard/fist, basically just a punch. A small amount of damage and a small push back for the victim. I guess it should be very a quick attack and hard to defend against. It might help stalemates when your both blocking attack after attack after attack.
 
i agree, maybe a kick, it wouldnt do any damage but would push the enemy back.

What M&B really needs is a shield bash. So when your fighting with a sword you may want to knock the enemy out insted of kill them you just smack em on the head with your sheild.that i beleive this would work.
 
How about when the enemy gets close, changing the thrust animation into an animation where the character thrusts his sword into the enemy's stomach from below :?:

My only prblem with the short thrust, is that its impossible to actually do, lol.

Their arm does not move at all, and yet i'm getting hit for full damage through armor.

If any of you guys can, in an inch, build up enough force to peice full plate armor, remind me to never armwrestle you, because you'll most likely rip off my arm, do a backflip and land on the roof of a 5 story building.
