Let me get right to the point. Some friends of mine and I are looking to offer our services for any voice acting, war cries and dialog your mod might need. Just reply in this thread, and we'll see what we can work out.

A couple adult male voices, fairly accentless. Easily Bass through alto in tone. I don't have any samples handy, no. I don't have the actual model of my friends mic, but it is a legitimate vocal recording microphone. He has a full suite of mixing software. I anticipate we'll be able to remove any background noise and distortion from the audio. As far as effects, anything that is generally available in decent quality audio editing software.

Although I'm not a professional voice actor by any means, I have very acute control over my voice, tone and timbre. I can easily speak in a very low base, up to the lower registers of alto. I also have a fairly good growl. In addition to myself, my friend, who's equipment we'll be using, has about the same range as myself, but his accents and quirky voices are quite a bit better.

Its quite likely we could get some female voices involved if needed, and even up to another two or three male voices.

Give me a list of maybe a dozen things you want, and the general manner you want them spoken. What my plan is, is to record myself and my friend saying the phrase several different ways, and give it to you in one file. you pick the one you want, and either pull it from the file yourself, or we can do it for you.

Perfect example of how to submit. Now if only it were on the thread rather than PM'd it would have been perfect.

Persona: Jatu Nomad warrior.  Think “Honorable Mongol”.  Mindset: “You are trespassing and as such, you are mine to kill.. nothing personal.”

We are the Jatu!  we salute you - may your death bring honor to my lance!"

You can credit me as normal, just in the readme or whatever. If you could either add "Myk Antos is Watching You" at the end of the readme, or a person named Myk Antos that says "I'm watching you." I'd be most appreciative, as well, but if you can't, just credit Myk Antos as normal.

What kind of equipment have you got? What kind of voices (age, gender, deep, whatever)? Do you have any samples you can provide? Can you edit the voices in any way (effects, remove static and other unwanted stuff)?

Hmm. I probably have more work than you'd want . My first suggestion would be better battle noises, I find native a bit agro and barbaric. For my own mod I'd be looking more for one liners for servants ("my lord", "yes my lord") and dealings with other lords ("we meet again", "so be it") etc. Generic stuff that can be placed in conversations to provide a bit more immersion.

I was thinking of doing a sample file with a few different ways of saying, "Your money, or your life." and "I will drink from your skull!" since they're so common. Throw in some new battle cries that aren't shapeless moans. Perhaps a "Hold steady, men!" or a "Tax them in blood!"

Lord dealings are more common as we progress in the game. I'm sure a lot of people would like battle commands.

How good are you with other languages? If we supply a line in another language, with phonetic script, can you do that too then?

Anyway, if you do anything for anyone else I'd love to hear some samples from that. I'll see about fixing a list of what I'd need, it's probably a huge amount of stuff though, and it might take a while for me to get a list of, I've having troubles reaching people.

I can speak latin, so that is pretty decent. Aside from that, I don't know how my accent would sound with something phonetic, but if I can listen to it online somewhere, I can likely do a fair estimation. Chants, yes. Singing, sometimes.

My friend has decent spanish, polish and german pronunciation, but I'm not sure what else. He can sing, but I'm unsure of his chanting abilities.

You can do that using software. There were even some (free) online voice synthesizers which would do it using text for input, you may want to look around for those

You ever hear of copyrights? They can't do that for the same reason they can't upload the movies for everyone to download. It's illegal. They don't own the movies.
