Pre-Finals North American Introduction
North America has been one of the longest competing members of the Nation's Cup from its very beginning. Over the years North America has participated seperately as Canada and the United States of America and North America combined. They have been lead by BkS, wK, tK, TMW, OE and even RaTs (myself). Now they are lead by Easter Cow and Lagstro. For years the NA team's have struggled to place in the playoffs and at the times they did make it they were usually defeated early on in the elimination rounds. Many of our best players have competed on these teams and tried their best to get the team to the finals. Whereas the teams used to be comprised mainly of the top clans, leaving little room for the outsiders; today they are comprised of a mix of everyone remaining in the competitive community. A good part of this success I believe can be attributed to the closeness of the NA community. About three years ago as our scene began dying we took to pickup parties and super teams to keep the community going. Players from all teams began playing regularly with each other and opened the doors to creating stronger teams and individual players. Three years ago having GK players play with tK's or wK would have been unheard of in a serious match and today they work effortlessly together when it matters most.
With all that I'd like to explain the point of this post. Many of the European players of old played with our NA team's in our most important tournaments. It was common for top tier teams to feature European players on their starting rosters and our communities were definitely intwined. Most notably the UK and Turkey have always been invested in our community. Great players such as Menethil, Rayden, Sikici, SotaMursu, Blacktide, Gibby, Arni, OGL and many many more were prominently apart of the NA community. These days the European community is much less invested with our side of the world and many may not know of our current team members. The point of this post is to give a little background for the upcoming finals match between NA and France. The following players are listed by alphabetical order and do not represent the talent or position on the team. I selected the most prominent members of team NA currently.

Alyss
Alyss is a former French native that currently lives in NA. Alyss is a prominent member of the NA team and is a multi-class player with a focus on archery. I consider Alyss to be one of the strongest archers in NA competitive history. He has a shot unparalleled in today's game and is extremely capable of defending himself against most opponents. Alyss is also a very strong cavalry player on open maps when needed which gives a great diversity to his skillset.

Aporta
Aporta is a Canadian player and is one of the best players to ever play in NA. He is a multi-class player with a specialty in infantry and cavalry. Aporta is considered one of the best support infantry to play in NA and one of the top open map cavalry players. He also is an extremely strong archer. Aporta is perhaps the best player to be featured on this NA team and brings an extreme level of teamwork and veteran leadership to the NA team.

Cow
Easter Cow is an American player and is one of the best cavalry players currently in NA. He is one of the leaders of team NA and paramount in the team's success. While Easter Cow was a latecomer to our scene he has proven that he has the skill to compete with the best and had he played earlier he may very well have been among the top cav of all time. Cow is one of the strongest players of this NA team and viewers can look to him to provide the edge for team NA on open maps with his lancing skill. Easter Cow is also a strong infantry player when called upon.

Guaccmoleboy
Guacc is a Canadian player and one of the best NA infantry players to ever play the game. Guacc is a well known player amongst both Europe and NA due to his insistent trolling and neverending ability to challenge players to FT7's and then lose them. All the meme's aside Guacc is a fantastic infantry player capable of taking on any infantry and destroying them when it is needed. Unlike the other infantry on this list, Guacc's speciality is focusing the team's best and beating them in a 1v1. Guacc brings a great personality to the team in matches and despite his forum presence and rude in-game comments he is a true team player when he is called upon.

Jeffrey9792
Jeffrey is an American player and one of the best NA archers to ever play. An extremely humble and friendly player; Jeffrey is well known in both Europe and North America. While Jeffrey no longer plays seriously, he is still counted upon by the NA team when called upon to provide his expertise as an archer. Jeffrey should be able to bring a great third archer compliment to this team should his name be called.

Kelquethas
Kelquethas is an American player and one of the best support inf and overall inf to ever play in NA. After years of being forgotten on a mid tier competitive team Kel rose to fame in later tournaments and really showed the talent he was able to bring to matches. He is an extremely friendly and supportive player that is well liked in the NA scene. He is capable of taking on the opposing teams best infantry and staying in the back keeping the cav off of his teammates.

Lagstro
Lagstro is a Mexican player and perhaps the second most dominant player in NA history, perhaps even the most. Lagstro has long been considered the best archer in NA and has proven to be strong in all other classes as well. As a co-leader of team NA this year Lagstro has the determination to bring the title home for this year's team. Lagstro is another great example of leadership as he has always been willing to play with anyone in the NA scene and offer support when needed. Oh and he does all this while playing with absurd ping on the other side of the country.

PPK157
PPK is an American player that is considered one of the best infantry and cavalry player's in NA history. Lagstro's longtime teammate is a vital piece in this NA team in the leadership and calm that he can bring to a team in need. A natural leader, PPK is able to switch to any class that is needed mid-match and be depended upon to strengthen that role. While I will admit I have been down on his rating in recent years I believe he is as important as any player on the team due to the leadership he can bring and his ability to multi-class and assist when needed. Regardless he is truly one of the strongest Sarranid cav you will ever see play the game.

Serj
Serj is an American player that is considered one of the better cavalry players currently in NA. While I consider Serj a good friend I will admit he can be a wildcard in matches that will either deliver kills or an early death. Serj is another great teammate and calm presence on a competitive team. He is capable of swapping between the three classes at ease and supporting his team with spearwork on the ground. Serj can be a force to be reckoned with on the cav front when he has a dependable teammate to work with.

Xearian
Xearian is an American player that is perhaps even an unknown to most of the NA community. Xearian is a very capable cavalry and infantry player that is the newest member of the team to the scene. What Xearian lacks in experience he provides with pure talent and there is a reason that the team has stuck with him this year. He has been one of the top producing members of the team despite never playing in an NA tournament before NC.

Yoshie
Yoshie is a Canadian player and one of the best infantry and cavalry players currently in NA. Yoshie is a fiercely competitive player that truly wants to win at all times (even in practice). This competitiveness may come off as aggressive to some but Yoshie is another great team player when it is needed. He is able to offer encouragement and advice to player's in tough times which is a vital talent on an NA team. Yoshie is one of the strongest infantry players on this NA team and will be right alongside Guacc in focusing the other team's best players. Yoshie is additionally a great compliment to the cav game, providing a strong lancing game that can be devastating to other team.

Zacty
Zacty is an American player that has really shown that he is a top performing archery in today's game. Zacty brings many years of experience to the NA team and has shown that he can be relied upon to make the shots when they are needed. Even more recently Zacty has been able to improve his defense to allow him to stay alive when he is being pushed. Zacty could be a strong third archer for the team if Jeffrey is not performing or able to play.
