An idea for running land/agriculture

Hmmmm............. I don't like your second set of ideas with moral and time acelleration and stuff.for one you would wan't to be in the land all of the time, and i think that being present to make moral higher should be left out, but i think that there sould be moral. i think that this should vary with the missions you complete for your country, the missions for your wife or the town, and the strenght of the guard there.
I also think that you should have to leave a guard in your town/village to protect it from radiers, but it wouldn't have to be huge (like 30 odd troops) because bandit's would bother with towns because they don't have the better loot.
for the money problem i think it could be solved simply
1- you would get taxes weekly, but you would get no harvest. instead it would vary with the level of morale and the current state of the harves, if the harvest was bad or good (which varies week to week depending on some factors although this could be left out) you would get higher or lower taxes.
NOTE: by harvest i mean hunting/ horses growing ect. for other places.
also i dont' know much about programming and making mods :oops: , but if you need anyone to help with testing i'd be willing to help, any excuse to give to my parents to use my computer, because this is the best and most eaisibly doable farm owing system i've seen.
P.S. - Lu Bu, if you only joined on the 3rd, how come you have a custom tag and now so much about everything to do with the game?
 
For the time question I originally intended to have the timescale in the village area different then the rest of the world. The owning land should be a sort of side game, not the main part of M&B like other people have said. Therefore as I side game I think you can tweak some things without worrying too much, as sneakster said I doubt anyone would stay in their village all the time.
 
Of course you shouldn´t have to spent to so much time in villages/other things.

I dont know if you think that i meant to make it some kind of main game thing. But i wasnt.
On the other hand i dont think it should just be another way of gaining gold...

It should affect other things of the game and you should be able to decide in what part the vilalge/whatever is heading and developed.

Your idea is very good Cale.
But it would be greater if the main character would own manufacturies which would produce a certain number of.linen,tools,pottery .etc depending on their size and on the number of workers!! :grin: :grin:
