an ask to 1257 players: never tried swordplay?

i explain better:

i remember from my past nice ol' movies with adventurers dressed lightly, that has a great swordplay.

Well, my ask to the other 1257 players is: have never tried to have a character like these heroes/heroines, dressed light (cloth or padded armor) with the best fancy armors of the game, and flashy in his/her moves, using only sword, sabre, or light weapons?

How you think to have a charismatic hero or a charming heroine like the model i depicted, maybe placing many points into CHArisma INTelligence and AGIlity for be more similar to these movies heroes? (Zorro-stile black avengers, charming archery masters bandits like Robin Hood, and so on....)
(afer all one may have all heavy cavalry, powerstrike infantry or exceptional Welsh longbowmans for win battles, but personally may dress as you like....your army will wihn battles for you, but you may be very happy to see your hero that hit swiftly and flashin' a single opponent)

With RCM sword and shield are the way to go, usually with a Knightly Heater Shield or the likes which are small and fast.

Yet I still prefer the orthodox Knightly approach as heavy infantry.

I've went with robe over mail as the lightest I use... with a nord helmet. And a two-handed axe, fighting on foot.

I play with RCM though, so anything below quality mail is going to get you killed awfully fast. The two-handed axe often chops people before they get to start fighting.

Mostly, I just grab the best armour I can find (lordly lamellar with RCM), a two-hander of some sort with sword and shield as backup and go hacking away.
