Ammo Slot

It'd be very nice to have a seperate slot for ammo, so we could throw that in there instead of taking up a weapon slot i'd think. Then we can have a shield, lance, sword, and a bow. Because I like charging into battle with a lance, then getting my sword out for the melee, but if I get knocked off and the calvary run off (silly AI) I can't shoot em due to ammo lack.

Nah, I think it is balanced nicely the way it is.

Using up 2 slots is part of the tradeoff of using bows and crossbows to make up for them having over 3x the ammo of thrown weapons and a much longer range to boot.

Well thrown weapons would still take up a weapon slot. Just have a quiver or something. Maybe the ability to purchase a quiver?

I think throwing weapons should take up a slot. I like (and quite enjoy) the current tactic of having to use your throwing weapons first, then run back to your pack if you want to change your approach. It's much more "real" (which is a word I use hesitantly - realism is not and should never be an excuse for putting something in a computer game).

I do think you should be able to carry more of them however. Especially that "large bag of arrows" which contain a whopping... 25 arrows (in case you didn't get that, that's one more arrow than the normal pack of 24). I do think arrows (can't speak for the other weapons) should come in bigger packs (25 / 50 and 100 perhaps?).

Also not sure on the whole "automagic arrow replenishment" thing either. Better yet, I think if you could carry more arrows (perhaps buying a quiver which can hold 100 with perhaps a big quiver of 150) then you'd be able to stock up more for your battles (each quiver takes up a slot). You can drop the magical replenishment and it'd be better all round. You'd still have the option of using up more slots for more arrows and it'd be much nicer. Especially when you start encountering some of those large groups. Horse Archers currently don't have much luck unless they carry an inventory full of arrows. Removing the magical replenishment would also make it a tougher choice. Use all your arrows in this encounter and run to the shops for more afterwards or save them for the next battle?

Wow, whom do we have here  Welcome to the forum.
And well, missile replenishment is NOT magical. It's completely realistic that archers, after a combat, went around the battlefield and carved out arrows from the bodies of enemies (on retrieved them from the ground)... however, right now situation is greatly simplified - for instance, you recover ammunition no matter if you win or lose, and 100% of it to boot.
The system I'd like to see in the full game would be like this:
Quivers and arrows would be separate, and arrows would be sold in big bundles that you cannot equip - only fill quivers with. (Like 100 arrows for prices that we have now. Btw, "whooping 25" for big quivers must be a bug.)
After a won fight, you'll automatically retrieve about 80% of ammunition you used (other would be broken or lost).
If you lose - must less (about 30%).
If you flee - no arrows will be recovered. If you have bundles of arrows of same kind you used up in your fight - they'll be automatically added into the quivers... after a message that you used up like 'insert number' arrows in a fight.
I think it's would be both realistic and fun.

And of course, I dont think people would like to pay quite so much for a one-use item.

The problem is, if arrows were a truly consumable object, then there's going to be a problem if you're an archer and need to bring along a lot of them. Namely that each quiver of arrows is going to take up as much inventory space as an entire trade-unit of something, or even a horse.

I like how it is now. A little unrealistic, but sometimes you have to sacrifice realism for pure entertainment.
