Am I the only one with these problems? (smudgy GUI & invisible weapons)

I install latest M&B and this mod, and here's my experience:
1) All GUI textures are blurred - including GUI buttons, and actual imagery (i.e.loading screen)
2) I start the game - I have a dagger and it's invisible and I have spears that are visible
3) I join the arena for simple fight - my sword is visible, but my shield isn't.  Everyone's running around with invisible spears

I just tried re-installing - the process went without a hiccup.

When I loaded up Warband for the first time, it didn't mention anything about entering the serial and it automatically picked up all of my old graphic settings! And... textures were smudgy!

Grr how do you properly uninstall this thing?

Turned out it was graphic setting "Use Instancing" that made the weapons disappear.

Weird!

I still how smudgy textures - i.e. when I go to "Custom Battle", the image in the center of the screen is extremely blurred.  Grr

Hah!  The smudgy textures turned out to be the result of setting "Mimap" to anything other than "High Quality" in my Catalyst Control Center.
