That is also how I feel about it. I see little point in fiddling with mods when there are daily patches coming out, it's too early for that. At least as far as I am concerned.

I think they might go with at least some internal testing before a larger patch, especially if it will involve breaking save compatibility.
Think I will give multiplayer some more love in the next couple of days, or at least till a bigger patch arrives. I hope it will add some more content like actual companions or kingdom management that works as intended.

Since it's a branch locked with password, it's probably either internal testing or a small group test that they're running. Maybe they'll end up releasing it to the public as a beta branch first before rolling it out to everyone as well.
