Alpha and Beta Branches in General!

True, but luckily mountain bandit camps don't have high numbers of bandits in it (from what I saw) and they aren't that lethal. Forest bandit camps are the worst. Cleared one with 35+ people in it yesterday. Took me around 5 hours including failing endlessly, divising a plan and executing it.

I like this actually. Makes bandits actually a challenge instead of constantly being able to mindlessly steamroll them every time haha

Yes, agreed. Though I REALLY did not see the degree of the challenge coming lol

If feasts had more interesting stuff going on in them, and got instantly called off for wardecs? Yes.

It should be the biggest patch yet, but not because we're skipping 5 patches. What comes after 1.0.9 is 1.0.10 not 1.1.0.

That depends on how the company counts it and seen how they counted the beta versions, in this case it's not true. Still there'll most probably more than crash fixes in this.

To mirror what's been said about patch versions, we could have 1.0.12254. A 1.1.0 patch usually means a new feature update that is significant to have a new numbering that starts at 0. For those of you who played WoW, 1.1.0 is like day 1 of the game. then 1.1.12 is the 12 patch and 1.2.0 would be a new expansion cause of new content.

Expecting more than fixes for e110.

Note about expectation: I wrote some suggestions* in a thread yesterday.. It went 11 pages behind in a day with huge amount of new suggestions.. Forum is very active right now, but i hope they can check them & add things even for very recent threads. There are great ideas.

the fact its 1.10 and not 1.06 indicates it will be a larger patch and not just some crash fixes. alas, we cant be for certain

From what you can see I'm sure it will be the biggest patch so far. I hope they add the mechanics of the rebellions, even TW said he was going to add them in the EA. I also remember that I saw in one of the EA videos how a rebel army besieged a castle

I like your optimism but very early for things like that.

I'd lower your expectations to avoid disappointment.

Man I just hope they fixed all the perks. They're doing good work releasing this many patches in a short time. I hope they keep it up.

I hope that skipping 5 patches ahead means the biggest patch yet

- Economy fixes, no more overpriced armor
- XP fixes, you can actually level at a decent clip and passively train troops
- Trait overhaul, 1) they actually work 2) they give better bonuses that actually have something to do with the skill you're leveling and aren't unnoticeable 2% bonuses.
- More anti-snowball fixes
- More sensible and transparent fief elections; no more getting locked out of election for settlements you captured yourself
- More companion templates that include engineering and stewardship, also overhaul of their stats so they can actually level up. Not going to expect actual companions at this stage...
- Siege pathfinding fixes so troops don't rush back and forth between engines and actually climb all ladders and don't bunch up. Archers being spaced out more so they actually fire would be a plus as well. And a way to pull back cav/shock infantry without shields until the final assault...
- Perhaps new features like renewable merc contracts (that pay weekly instead of per party killed) and ability to usurp factions from the inside.

Yep would like to see most of this myself. Also your forgot having Merc contracts that actually have an end date so you can stop being a merc without getting tons of faction loss.

Also, I would like to see a way to use my influence to replace another candidate for a castle or town, some really big number like 1000 influence or something but it would be nice to be able to "influence" the ruler to give you a shot at getting the fief you want at least up to certain limitations.

What's definitely missing is letting a companion patrol around your fief

i wouldn't mind if devs would confirm there will be actually a patch today? Not sure if I should be scheduling some M&B time today or not really

They're using the "semver" (semantic versioning) standard, which means Major.Minor.Patch, (ie: 1.0.5)
- Major: Massive changes that break backwards compatibility with previous majorversion
- Minor: New feature or improvement added in a backwards compatible manner
- Patch: Bugfixes in a backwards compatible manner

If we are getting 1.1.0, that should mean we're getting some cool feature added.
Hope that helps.
That is what I was thinking. Where I work, we follow the same standard.
