(Almost) Invisible Forum posts tutorial - Updated and bugfixed!

Users who are viewing this thread

To write almost invisible:
1. Write something
2. Change the color to whatever you want
3. Then change the color name with "#e1d6c2" or "#d6c6ac". The second one is darker. Use the darker if your post is going to be on dark background or the brighter if the post is going to be on brighter background. To determine the background of your post, see the previous one. If it's dark, yours will be bright and vice versa.

Example:
Code:
[color=red]Words...[/color]
to
Code:
[color=#e1d6c2]Words...[/color]
and
Code:
[color=#d6c6ac]Words...[/color]

In action:
Red Writing
and
Invisible Writing
and
Almost Invisible Writing

Try it yourself when the background is darker or like now, brighter

EDIT from 2017 and a much more mature poster: If you're not a retard, just use
Code:
transparent
instead of any of these theme-specific colours. THAT actually works.

What's the point? Last I heard, the point of a forum post is for other people to be able to read it.

Useless.

Unless you tell people it's there they won't even realise.

And if you tell them, you may as well have written it in a legible colour.

Well done, you invented the forum equivalent of a chocolate teapot... Only it's not tasty.

Just to test something...

Well, you could always use it to hide a link to a mod download (for fun) and just only include the stuff between the periods.

Ctrl+A. It gets kind of obvious if you look closely, and hell, there's already a spoiler tag if you want to stop people from reading spoilers.

Still, if it does digress to flaming, we can make the really hurtful comments invisible.
