Allow multiple weapon setups when starting mounted/dismounted

On horse a 1h is almost useless. On the ground however, it is essential to use with a shield. Why can't there be two weapon setups- 1 for mounted and 1 for dismounted ?

(maybe pre-battle and pre-siege or some such)....

Your main point is a good idea. I'd like that too.

Just want to throw in though, "1H on horseback useless" isn't necessarily true. The big distinction between 1H & 2H is damage and whether or not a shield can be equipped. Which was true in Warband as well. But in WB 2H weapons were also longer...that length/reach distinction hasn't entirely disappeared, but is a lot more blurred in Bannerlord. There are some 1H weapons that are just as long as many 2H weapons. "The Ambassador" (common tourney prize 1H sword at 114 length) is one example. "Cavalry Broadsword" (117 length) is another. They work from horseback just fine.

I'd agree that most 1H weapons, especially lower tier ones, yeah, too short for optimal mounted use. Just wanted to mention there's some reasonably accessible exceptions.

Another one handed sword from tournaments has 120 reach, I think it's called The Scalpel.

1 handed I can use it but it feels wierd and misses a lot from horseback (as it probably should). But it would be nice to have on horseback bow, 2 quivers and a lance or 2h weapon and on foot bow, quiver, 1h and sheild....

templates would be nice for sure, just like we have [armed] and [civilian] right now.

Siege defense
Siege attack
Field battle on horseback
Field battle XXXX
Raid
YYYY

Example: on sieges I usually drop my weapons and take bow+3 stacks of arrows. I can always grab a weapon from a dead soldier later. But on field battles I am on my horse ... so stop game, open inventory, switch and replace gear, ok?, lets go!

Another example: change armor sets between light-medium-heavy. There are situations where you want the protection of a heavy armor set, while others when you just want the agility of a light set.

^ its not like you dont have the money or the horses (mules) to carry extra gear.

If you can smith up to level fifty, you can make serviceable one and two handed swords.
The two handers can be wielded one-handed on horseback by pressing X key.

Sword, Shield, Polearm, Throwing weapons
Four items that fit into four slots perfectly for almost every situation.

I carry multiple sets of weapons for various situations. I would love to be able to have it set to default for mounted/siege. As sometimes I forget to equip a bow for sieges and I am stuck walking around with a lance.

My suggestion is to add in saddles with saddle bags that allow you to access 1-2 more weapon slots while on, or near your own horse that can only hold 1 handed weapons or ammunition.

I mean that's more than realistic. Also seeing as we have this janky skill system that basically forces you to level every weapon type for passive bonuses, and just to keep leveling at all, might as well let us bring more with us.

Yeah I use different sets for different battle types too. I wonder if the civilian clothes is supposed to function kind of like that?

I like this solution. I like this game because of it's close relationship to realism. If we want to carry more weapons, there needs to be an explainable way to do it. I wouldn't like to just start pulling weapons out of my ass because it makes the game easier.

Saddle bags is a great idea. Maybe make it by a piece of equipment you can get (and maybe have to craft/upgrade for) or some such (start at 0, upgrade to 1, then to 2 then maybe 3)....

I Like both solutions, saddlebags for more ammo and a way to predefine sets dir specific Battles. To counterway this you would need more horses/mules to carry the equipment.
