SP - Player, NPCs & Troops Allow Looter bandits to be upgraded into Mountain Bandits or Forest Bandits

Looters should be upgradable into the other bandit troops trees.

Looters are by far the most numerous and common form of Bandit unit in the game, but they have no upgrades to promote variety.

It leaves Looters feeling very boring, and makes taking out or recruiting large amounts of Looters a chore.

It would be beneficial if Looters could be upgraded into another bandit type once they get enough experience.

Valid candidates for the Looters to upgraded into are as follows:

Mountain Bandits (Hillman, Brigand, Highwaymen, and Mountain Bandit Boss)

Forest Bandits (Bushwacker, Freebooter, Forest Bandit, and Forest Bandit Boss)

Thugs (Thug, Expert Thug, and Master Thug)

These three Bandit types most match a balanced and explainable upgrade path for the looter.

Looters turning into Mountain Bandits have gained confidence and combat experience from robbing small villager parties. With the Food, Gold, Horses, and Equipment they have stolen these newly formed Mountain Bandits can move onto bigger, richer targets

Looters turning into Forest Bandits have gained proficiency with a bow after hunting for their food. They use their familiarity with these lethal weapons, and their experience navigating and tracking through the forests, to ambush travelers and merchants.

Looters turning into Thugs have grown weary of a wild lifestyle and seek comfort within the walls a city, plying their few skills, namely violence, to meet their needs.

These changes would make Looters go from annoying pests to a genuinely good form of recruitment.

These changes would be much appreciated, thank you for your consideration.

Looters upgrading into Mountain Bandits would be specifically logical.

Vlandian peasants have an armor set with almost identical equipment to the Looter, and Mountain Bandits upgrade into the Vlandian Culture troops when using the Veteran's Respect perk.

It was meant to be, let Looters be upgraded into Bandit troops

In my playthrough now i'm a merc running around and trying to save kingdoms! And alot of bandit camp pop up! I want the ability to say too them why don't you raid those villages orr something like that? That if they are strong enough they could be like minor clan or something like that? 🤔

What if they put their upgrade behind a perk, there is already a perk that turns bandit troops in to normal troops, and not only looters, hunters and mounted bandits should be able to be able to be upgraded too

Perhaps the Bandits themselves could upgrade their own troops without the perk, allowing mixed bandit parties, but the player could require a perk to promote balance?

Another similar change that would benefit would be culture specific looters.

They could have different stats, equipment, appearances, and names.

This would make the upgrade trees clean and separate

I´m touching the topic slightly in my old More T1 upgrade paths but centererd around recruits rather than Looters.

I'd like to see more paths and intermingle in the trees where you get use of all troops in an interesting and immersive way! I´d like to have more layers and more options, especially on the low levels!

Why not give looters upgrade paths into ALL bandit trees?
And above all - Why is there no bandit faction for Empire outlaws while all other culturers got their? :D

Good Idea, looters upgrade into something more powerful, all bandits should have this ability actually. Thus you'd be more keen to kill them off before they upgrade. i would also like to see bandit groups attack villages, and you are the village leader trying to defeat them.

BTW, the game is basically finished, Devs won't be adding any more features other than what they've already planned. talk to modders.
