Allied Lords don't re-garrison

I'm running a Swadian rebellion and I've managed to capture most of the Swadian territory. I have all the cities except Praven, which I take and lose every now and again and all the castles except for three. I can't for the life of me hold anything though, because I own more territory than I have lords to hold it. The best I can do to defend a castle or a town after I've taken it is to tell a lord to park himself there. Forever.

Enemy lords regarrison troops when they take a castle. For example I just lost Kelredan Castle, again. I'm about to take it back, again. If it were empty, which it would have been if I'd just waited for Harlaus and co to take the thing and move on, I could just grab it instantly, uncontested. I jumped to its defense instead though, which landed me in prison for the few days it took to re garrison the castle with 30 men. 30 men isn't much, but that increases the longer the enemy holds the castle until it reaches its usual point of about 100 or so, my lords never seem to re garrison anything. I've had Lord Rafrach sitting in Reindi castle for MONTHS and he has yet to stick a single solder in there.

I'm just wondering if that's some kind of strange omission in the AI, some old school Warcraft I style ComputerCheating, or if there's just some order that I have to give the lords that I haven't found yet. If it's the last one, if someone could tell me how to get the AI to garrison the cities and castles so I don't have to claim them all for myself then I would appreciate it.

they will start putting troops in the garrison as soon as the rebellion is over.. my guess is, its a rebellion, your resources are limited cause of the constant warmongering, therefore they cant affort a new garrison just yet... but i guess thats just how i justify the fact they didnt garrison when i where rebelling against swadia myself to, so yeah... i just think its a way of making the rebellion a little harder.

Yeah this is VERY annoying, one think i notice, if you persuade an enemy lord, who owns a castle to join the rebellion, that castle will have no troops. And YOU cant Garrison your personal troops into it, because he owns it.

Cheers up, there is a way  If you give troops to a lord in the lord hall of a castle (his own or another) the troops will be stashed as the castle garnison. If you give him troop out of the castle then it will be added to his personal forces. So you just ask a lord to move to a castle and proceed to the exchange. Of course if the lord don't like you he my refuse, but this is another problem !
